Hola hivers, como cada lunes les traigo un proyecto de costura para nutrir mi participación en la comunidad @needleworkmonday, donde nos apoyamos y mantenemos la creatividad activa. Hoy vamos algo eco friendly, darle una segunda vida a ese suéter viejo, así que ve por él, hilo, tijeras y agujas.

Hi hivers, as every Monday I bring you a sewing project to nurture my participation in the @needleworkmonday community, where we support each other and keep the creativity active. Today we are going something eco friendly, give a second life to that old sweater, so go get it, thread, scissors and needles.

Primer paso, separa tu suéter, cortando los lados, las mangas quedando 2 piezas, toma una de ellas, si quieres tratar con tela distinta las medidas son 60cm x 60cm, dependiendo de la talla de cada quien, puedes aumentar unos 3 cm de cada de lado.

First step, separate your sweater, cutting the sides, the sleeves, leaving 2 pieces, take one of them, if you want to try with different fabric the measures are 60cm x 60cm, depending on the size of each one, you can increase about 3cm on each side.

Ahora, dobla en 4 partes tu pieza y del lado de los bordes sin doblez, recorta de esquina a esquina o haciendo un semicírculo, como indica la foto, ahora abre que queden 2 partes con el borde ovalado como puedes ver en la imagen.

Now, fold in 4 parts your piece and on the side of the edges without folding, cut from corner to corner or making a semicircle, as shown in the picture, now open that there are 2 parts with the oval edge as you can see in the picture.

Es tiempo del hilo y la aguja, comienza a coser y a arruchar hasta llegar al extremo final, uniendo las partes, como muestra la foto. Ahora procedemos a decorar, a mi me gustan las flores, así que las armé con retazos, haciendo trenzas que luego cosí con forma circular y unir junto al gorro tapando lo más posible la abertura, sin embargo tú puedes dejarlo abierto o decorar a gusto personal.

It's time for the thread and needle, start sewing and ruffling until you reach the end, joining the parts, as shown in the photo. Now we proceed to decorate, I like flowers, so I put them together with scraps, making braids that I then sewed in a circular shape and join next to the cap covering as much as possible the opening, however you can leave it open or decorate to personal taste.

Y estamos listos para lucir nuestro gorro eco friendly, estos son ideales para el frío, al menos esa fue mi intención, pero en clima cálido con telas más ligeras también son cómodos y cool para vestir, dándole un plus a tu outfit.
