how to make a puppet

This time the contest is to make a sewing project, I must confess that I have always liked sewing, in fact when I was a teenager I took a cutting and sewing course and my mom even bought us a machine, but over the years I got married and between work and the house I forgot about sewing , Until recently my sister told me about this community and I decided to put into practice what little I remembered, although if I am honest I think I forgot everything, but nevertheless I still started to make a puppet with materials, mostly recyclable. Here I share with you how I made it and the materials I used.

Materials: A 40 cm piece of fabric, thread, needle, scissors, tape measure, yarn, plastic circle, red and black marker, 2 buttons, recyclable materials, ribbons, scarf, eyes.

Step by step:

For the dress of the puppet cut a piece of fabric with the following measures 28 centimeters long by 23 centimeters wide ,you can use any fabric you have at home. Then sew it in the part of the edges , in the front part of the dress I will sew 2 buttons .

After I have the dress ready, I am going to glue the dress to the circle to give shape to the head, then I cut 10 centimeters of yarn for the hair and I glue them in equal parts.

And so the puppet is taking shape, to finish the clothes I added some recyclable materials that I had saved, for example: the bow I used for the head, the scarf, the detail of the dress and the eyes.

And finally I glue the eyes and draw with a red and black marker the nose and mouth.
