Greetings dear community, my user in #hive is @belkisa758, I've been contributing for four years to different communities and this is my first time here. Why haven't I posted before? Simple, because I am one of those who think I have two left hands to work crafts (laughs). I love this genre but I am a realist, I don't have the skills like @carolinacardoza or @purrix, great friends who always motivate me to "try" (more laughter).
Saludos estimada comunidad, mi usuario en #hive es @belkisa758, llevo cuatro años aportando para diferentes comunidades y esta es mi primera vez por acá. ¿Por qué no había publicado antes? Sencillo, porque soy de las que pienso que tengo dos manos izquierdas para trabajar manualidades (risas). Me encanta este género pero soy realista, no tengo las habilidades como las de @carolinacardoza ni @purrix, grandes amigas quienes siempre me motivan a "intentarlo" (más risas).

I am not late to the contest because the rest of the participants arrived very early he,he,he,he (maybe I don't even have a chance to compete anymore). I'm never late when happiness comes.
Comento que no llegué tarde al concurso fue que el resto de los participantes llegaron muy temprano je,je,je (quizá ya ni tengo oportunidad de concursar). Nunca es tarde cuando la dicha llega.
When I read that it was a design for a Barbie doll my head turned an eight, first because I don't have Barbie and second because my granddaughter doesn't have one either, she was the closest person I could ask for a doll. I thought of my nieces and among several queries I found one. Once the doll was found, it was time to think about the design of her costume. I have seen the different outfits of the participants and wow, I hope I didn't offend with my idea hahaha.
Cuando leí que se trataba de un diseño para una muñeca Barbie se volvió la cabeza un ocho, primero porque no tengo Barbie y segundo porque mi nieta tampoco tiene, ella era la persona más cercana a quien le podía pedir una muñeca. Pensé en mis sobrinas y entre varias consultas encontré una. Hallada la muñeca tocó pensar en el diseño de su traje. He visto los diferentes atuendos de las participantes y wow! Espero no ofender con mi idea jajaja.
With the doll in hand, I thought about the possible materials to start with the elaboration of the costume. According to the contest rules you can knit, embroider or sew, my personal choice was to glue hahaha but glue is not among the options although, I used glue because my idea was to work with recyclable materials, for the Barbie's blouse I did use needle and thread.
Ya con la muñeca en mano pensé en los posibles materiales para comenzar con la elaboración del traje. De acuerdo a las reglas del concurso se puede tejer, bordar o coser, mi opción personal fue pegar jajaja pero la pega no está dentro de las opciones aunque, utilicé pega porque mi idea fue trabajar con materiales reciclables, para la blusa de la Barbie si hice uso de aguja e hilo.
I am a nature lover, that's where my inspiration for design came from. I think a recyclable fancy dress can be a great theme for Barbie. With the ideas clear and concrete, I organized the materials.
Soy amante de la naturaleza, de ahí nació mi inspiración para el diseño. Creo que un traje de fantasía reciclable puede ser un gran tema para la Barbie. Ya con las ideas claras y concretas organicé los materiales.

• To make the costume I started by designing the basic skirt, then I cut yellow, blue and red flowers, which I glued in a circular shape.
•Para elabora el traje comencé diseñando la falda de base, luego corté flores de colores amarillo, azul y rojo, las cuales fui pegando en forma circular.
•For the blouse I worked with silver fabric, some scraps that I took from some Christmas leaves, I made the cut taking the size of the doll and on the same body was passing thread and needle. For the good seamstresses I know this is not the right technique but in my test I think it turned out well.
•Para la blusa trabajé con tela plateada, unos retazos que saqué de unas hojas de navidad., Hice el corte tomando la medida de la muñeca y sobre el mismo cuerpo fue pasando hilo y aguja. Para las buenas costureras sé que no e esta la técnica pero en mi ensayo creo que resultó bien.
Finally, I glued the wings to highlight the fantasy as well as the hair accessories and shoes. A Venezuelan fantasy dream was the reason for the costume that I share with you today. Thank you for your attention and if you have any suggestions I will be attentive.
Finalmente, pegué las alas para que resaltará la fantasía al igual que los accesorios en el pelo y los zapatos. Un sueño de fantasía venezolana fue el motivo del traje que hoy comparto con ustedes. Gracias por su atención y cualquier sugerencia estaré atenta.

Cuando vi ese traje me fui a esos trajes de fantasía que se usan en las comparsas del carnaval de Brasil muy hermosos y coloridos. cada detalle me encantò. las alas, su color, que bonito que te animaste a participar.
