Making a baby flatline for a door to the kids bedroom
I had an idea to make a small flag line as a gift for my godchild. I made a flag line with sewing class for the Ronald mc Donald house and that was so much fun. I picked that up to make another one. A children's fabric was quickly bought. I made a jig for the flag and bought bias tape for the line. I really enjoyed personalizing the flag so I sewed on wooden letters with her initials. Simple but so much fun to give and make. See here is the instruction:
- you need fabric
- Sewing thread
- A lockmachine
- A sewing machine
- Scissors
- letters
Funny was that i found triangles that were almost like the flags i cut, but that was a coincidence.
The flags are a pattern on one side and a neutral fabric on the other side.
When that was finished I pinned them and made sure they were evenly attached to the bias band.
Sewing the flags and bending the bias band so the front and the back is the same.
I was sitting on the couch while pinning all and making it a flag line.
In between I did the sewing so the treads were flat and nice after sewing.
I sew in the middle or make sure the three layers are attached to eachother.
I love the end result, tomorrow I will send it in teh mail as a present and a surprise.
