#needleworkmonday recycle your blouse after an accident with teeth of your dog

All photos of the procedure are made by me ✂️

What do you do when a ”playing with the dogs”

gets your favorite blouse ripped?
A white one you wear with pleasure?
You cannot say they are bad, because I wanted to play ,
so I just take charge and make a new one.

🧷✂️🧵🧶✂️🧷🧵

Yes!
You recycle it instead of throwing it away and change it to a under white collar top one by just some cutting and some sewing.

This is the blouse before :

A Bandolera brand one and in fabric cotton~silk so it wrinkles, but with a black pants and black little vest, something I love wearing to work, or at informal gatherings but nice.

This is that lovely blouse after I played with the dogs.

Yes, that are teeth , hahahahah, and its my own fault!

🧷✂️🧵🧶✂️🧷🧵

This is my recycle your clothes blog.
A #needleworkmonday #needlework #built-it #diy
blog, and I haven’t done one in long time. I have also some sandals that need diy work so maybe this can be a project after I finish this poor blouse thing after the fight.
The sewing machine will be out on the table so might aswell take advantage.

So you take the blouse and put it at the table and cut off the arms and the under part ( this was a long waist blouse so i will make it normal length to waist line now ) :

Cut along the excisting sewing lines

Use a clothing scissors because they don’t rip the clothing. When you are not a sewing bee, make little cuts and take a bit longer than when you are cutting paper. Its all in favour of the end result.

The under side I will iron and sew again.

The arm pits need a new sewing lock side and will be ironed out aswell. That and wash will get the best result if you ask me.

Those are nasty tears in the fabric - good that you took charge and made something cool from it still :)

I always try to recycle ♻️ I have had some epic fails but I have to say this worked out well.

I also used old shirts from hubby and only kept the collar but this is a nice new one

Weet niet hoe het in het Engels zou zijn, maar bij ons zeggen ze - als je niets doet kan je ook niets verkeerd doen 🙂

Ahhhhh. Doggy damage. Almost all of Sam's washes out :)

Nice looking changes, actually, but I have a question. What's that thing in your hand, with the blue light?

Just kidding. Even a bachelor knows that's a steam roller. :)

I actually have an iron. It's a great place to store a hat.

Sweet friend that's my steaming ufo hahahah

Years ago my mother took one look at me and tried to give me an iron. I had to admit to her that I still had the first one she'd given me 20 years earlier. She was not particularity pleased with her eldest son that day...

Bad doggie. What an awesome recycle into a beautiful short sleeve shirt you can wear under other items.

Clever solution to save the blouse, especially as sewing one is (in my eyes) complicated.

I love this kind of project. It looks amazing, congrats.
