🎼Navidad, navidad, linda navidad. 🎄 Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way
Parece mentira pero ya estamos a un mes de celebrar la época más linda del año, sinceramente siento que es un mes donde se desborda amor por todos lados. Una de las cosas que más me gusta es ir a las tiendas de telas y comprar las más lindas del mercado para elaborar piezas únicas que embellezcan el hogar de mis clientas y mis seres queridos.
It seems like a lie but we are already one month away from celebrating the most beautiful time of the year, I sincerely feel that it is a month where love overflows everywhere. One of the things I like the most is to go to the fabric stores and buy the most beautiful ones in the market to make unique pieces that will beautify the home of my clients and my loved ones.
Hoy estuve realizando limpieza en mi taller de costura y encontré unos cuantos retazos de tela navideña y se me ocurrió darles uso. Como siempre me puse a buscar ideas en internet y conseguí una serie de tapabocas navideños espectaculares, los hay de todo tipo, tejidos, bordados, o simplemente así en tela con motivos navideños.
Today I was cleaning up in my sewing workshop and I found a few pieces of Christmas fabric and I thought I would use them. As always, I looked for ideas on the internet and I got a series of spectacular Christmas tapabocas, there are all kinds, woven, embroidered, or simply in fabric with Christmas motifs.
Procedimiento/ Step by step🎅
Lo primero que hacemos en buscar un patrón, en internet se consiguen de todo tamaño, para niños y adultos. Luego que lo copies lo traspasamos a la tela y cortamos 2 piezas en tela principal y 2 en tela de forro..
Juntamos las piezas de tela principal y unimos con alfileres para que no se mueva, pasamos costura por la parte frontal y repetimos el mismo proceso con la tela de forro.
- The first thing we do when looking for a pattern, on the internet you can find all sizes, for children and adults. After you copy it, we transfer it to the fabric and cut 2 pieces in main fabric and 2 in lining fabric...
- We join the main fabric pieces and pin them together so that they don't move. We sew on the front and repeat the same process with the lining fabric.
- Ahora juntamos tela principal y forro frente con frente, unimos con alfileres y pasamos costura recta por todo el borde dejando una abertura en los costados sin coser para luego voltear.
- Now we put together main fabric and lining front to front, pinned together and sewed straight across the edge leaving an opening in the sides unsewn and then turned over.
- Volteamos y sacamos muy bien las esquinas, luego vamos a pasar costura por el lateral que quedó abierto y seguimos cociendo por toda la orilla, así como se ve en la imagen.
- We turned and took out the corners very well, then we are going to sew through the side that was open and continue sewing along the edge, as shown in the picture.
- Ahora vamos a doblar un centímetro hacia adentro de la tela delos costados que es por donde vamos a pasar la liga elástica.
- Now we are going to fold one centimeter into the fabric on the sides which is where we are going to pass the elastic band.
Sé que ya hemos hecho bastantes tapabocas, pero como aún sigue la cuarentena y debemos cuidarnos, que mejor que hacerlo estando a la moda e ir con la temporada. No sé si esto sean frivolidades pero el espíritu de la navidad lo llevamos todo por dentro y si estas cosas nos ponen más felices pues hagámoslo y luzcamos lo mejor que podamos en esta navidad.
I know we've done enough mouthwashes, but since the quarantine is still in place and we have to take care of ourselves, what better way to do it than to be fashionable and go with the season. I don't know if this is frivolous, but the spirit of Christmas is inside of us and if these things make us happier, let's do it and look our best this Christmas.

They look great! Though I prefer to use non-dyed or older, often washed fabric for the inside of masks - with new fabrics and colorful dyes you never know if there are remnants of some chemicals in it.
