¡Hola Chicos!

Hey guys!

I wish you all a happy start to the week. As always bringing you a new tutorial and continuing with the Christmas theme, today I would like to share with you the step by step of how to make this beautiful crochet garland.

It is super easy to make and I think it looks super cute in any corner you decide to put it.

The size it has will depend on the hoop you use as a base and the thickness of the thread with which you make it. In my opinion, I think it looks better doing it with thick yarn, but maybe not if you have it, you can do it with the thread you have on hand.

We can also make it with different color combinations, it occurs to me that it be all white and with the edge in navy blue and gold details, also make it all green and that the decorations are the ones that give the color details.

The cool thing is that, that we can always adapt it to our tastes and that they combine perfectly with the theme of the decoration.

Without further ado, let's go step by step. ♥

For the base of this craft we need a hoop, preferably made of plastic or some light material, so that we can easily hang it anywhere.

As I told you in my previous post, I always keep the plastic lids because they are used for a lot of crafts.

We will be using only the ring of the lid, for this we remove the center with a hot knife very carefully so as not to damage it and we will cut the edge until we have a ring like the one in the photograph.

We tie a knot to secure the thread to the hoop. I used a tree-green wool and a 5-millimeter needle.

We knit single crochet until the hoop is completely covered. To finish the round we knit a slip stitch.

For the next round we make two chains to raise it and in each of the stitches we made in the previous round we are going to make two double crochets.

This will make us have that wavy fringe around the edge, since the number of points is greater than the space they have.

In this round we will not make a slip knot to finish, I will tell you why.

We cut the green wool with about 6 centimeters of excess and we will make the slip knot by introducing the red wool that will go around the entire contour of the garland.

We crochet a chain and then a single crochet over each double crochet we made in the previous row. This time we will not make increases.

We finish by making a slip knot and cutting the thread with a surplus of 6 centimeters.

We bring the threads to the back of the garland, tie knots to secure them and cut off the excess thread.

We already have the garland ready, now we need to decorate it.

These garlands are characterized by being decorated with huge bows, well at least I've always seen them like that haha.

I wanted to make a red one to match the border, for this I knitted a rectangle making only single crochets so that it would be very thick.

Then I cut the excess thread and making a fold in the center, I made several turns with the same yarn to achieve the bow.

It's time to decorate the garland. I took some gold plastic beads that looked like backstage and placed them on a piece of thread to hang them in the center, also small pearls to place them inside the garland.

I glued all this with silicone. You can place as many decorations as you want.

This way we will have the garland ready, ready to be hung on a door or we can also make several and hang them on the tree.

I hope you liked the proposal. ♥
