Often when we work mostly from home, the home is not the restful haven from the outside world that it should be. I need to take time periodically to give the home some attention rather than the office/studio.
I decided today I needed to devote some time to strictly domestic things. After yesterday's laundry and grocery shopping (to catch up from my weekend away with grandchildren) I have only gone out briefly today (yarn sale at Hobby Lobby.)
I have done some mending, sewing on snaps and fixing a bra strap. I also have the pattern I will use for the flower girl dresses for my daughter's September wedding. I took their measurements over the weekend and will make muslin bodices to be fitted on them before I order and cut the the fashion fabrics.
It's a simple style, made special by selecting beautiful fabrics--nothing fussy or scratchy for my sweet granddaughters!
I look forward to seeing the finished dresses some day.
Well, they better be done by September! Otherwise I will have to deal with the bride...
