NEEDLEWORK YOUR KITCHEN CONSTES // Colorida cesta dulcera (Esp/Eng)

Greetings to my dear friends creators of art through threads and needles, for me it is an honor to share with you each of my creations and today I am pleased to be able to participate in the contest proposed by dear friend @kattycrochet.

Imagen1.jpg

For this I wanted to make something that would be useful when receiving visitors, that's how it occurred to me to weave a basket for sweets, usually at home I used to put them in a glass candy box, but after a little accident with my nieces, I used to put them in disposable cups, but thanks to this contest I now have a place to put the candy for my girls.

Imagen1.jpg

To make this basket and following my project of using all the leftover yarn I have, this time I used leftover Camila acrylic yarn in various shades, 1.5 mm crochet hook and scissors.

Imagen2.jpg

Procedure for the base of the basket in gray tone:
1st round: I started my weaving in a double magic ring, over which I wove 20 high stitches, closing each round with a slip knot.

2nd row: I knit 2 double crochet stitches in each stitch of the previous row, obtaining 40 stitches.

3rd row: I knit 1 double crochet and 1 increase in the next stitch, to obtain 60 stitches.

4th row: I knit a double crochet over each stitch of the previous row, closed with a single crochet and cut the yarn. Thus obtaining the base of the basket.

Imagen3.jpg

5th row: in this row I began to weave the structure of the basket in navy blue color, I did it by weaving a single crochet in each stitch of the previous row in the inner strand of the stitches.

6th - 8th rows: I knitted fan stitches, knitting * 2 double crochet, 1 chain and 2 double crochet in the same stitch, I left 3 stitches to knit the other fan stitch*, repeating from * to * until the end of the rows, closing each row with a slip knot to the bow of the first fan stitch. In the 7th and 8th rows, use the light blue yarn.

Imagen4.jpg

9th - 10th rows: I changed the color of the yarn to pink, and repeated the procedure of the previous rows, only that between each fan I wove a chain stitch to give the basket a flight.

11th row: I changed the yarn color to Fuchsia, in this row I repeated the procedure and wove 2 chains between the fans.

Imagen5.jpg

12th row: in this row, I increased the high stitches in the fans, knitting 3 high stitches, 1 chain and 3 high stitches, and then 2 chains between each fan.

13th row: to embellish the basket and give it more color I changed the color of the red yarn, I started the round with a single low stitch, followed * I knit 1 high stitch in each stitch of the fan and 1 high stitch in the loop of the fan, then I knit a 5 chain picot closing it in the same stitch, I knitted another high stitch in the loop and 1 high stitch in each stitch of the other side of the fan, and I knitted 1 low stitch in the union of the fans *, I repeated the procedure until the end of the round and closing with a single crochet, I cut the yarn and hid it, thus finishing the basket.

I thank this wonderful community for each initiative, because it gives us the opportunity to challenge ourselves to be creative, I wish you all a week full of success and many blessings.

Your basket is very colorful. I liked the type of stitch you used, it has open spaces that allow harmony with the candies you place.
