Fierro chullo /Chingolo / Pichisanka / Rufous-collared Sparrow / Zonotrichia capensis

Les traigo una de las aves más comunes en Lima-Perú (también hay en los andes) y es parecida al gorrión europeo. Se trata de “Fierro chullo”, debido a la forma de la cabeza que parece que tuviera un chullo negro con gris. Se caracteriza por su peculiar bufanda de color rojizo, garganta clara y marcas negras en la cara.
I bring you one of the most common birds in Lima-Peru (also found in the Andes) and it is similar to the European Sparrow. It is called "Fierro chullo", due to the shape of the head that looks like a black and grey chullo. It is peculiar because of the reddish scarf, clear throat and black marks on the face.

Al momento de transformarlo a amigurumi, se trató de resaltar las características claves del personaje. Por suerte encontré un hilo más fino y matizado que le dio vida a las alas. Este amigurumi tiene un tamaño de 9 centímetros de altura.
When transforming it into an amigurumi, the key characteristics of the character were highlighted. Luckily I found a finer, more nuanced thread that brought the wings to life. This amigurumi is 9 centimeters high.
Se inició tejiendo la cabeza de color gris, luego se formó las manchas negras mediante el cambio de color (figura 1). Al término de la cabeza le siguió el cuello de color anaranjado y se terminó de formar el cuerpo (figura 2). Las alas y la cola fueron tejidas con hilo de bordar (figura 3). Se colocó los ojos, bordó el pico y utilizó alfileres para la diagramación del personaje (figura 4 y 5). Por último se le tejió las patas y el detalle de la cresta de color negro (figura 6).
It began by weaving the head gray, then formed the black spots by changing color (Figure 1). At the end of the head, the orange neck followed and the body was formed (figure 2). The wings and tail were woven with embroidery thread (figure 3). The eyes were placed, the beak was embroidered and pins were used to diagram the character (figure 4 and 5). Finally, the legs and the crest detail were woven in black (figure 6).
Es muy importante tener una buena foto del personaje, en este caso fue un ave con manchas características, por lo que la foto de referencia inicial estaba de perfil, mientras que luego se obtuvo otra foto donde miraba de frente.
It is very important to have a good photo of the character, in this case it was a bird with characteristic spots, so the initial reference photo was in profile, while later another photo was obtained where it was looking straight ahead.
