Happy and Blessed Women's Day to all the Hivers and especially to all my colleagues from the NeedleWorkMonday community.

Today is a very special day as we celebrate the joy and blessing of being a woman. The word woman is synonymous with strength, courage and bravery; but at the same time it also means love, joy and hope.

Throughout history and since the beginning of time, women have played an exceptional role in the development of humanity. There are many women that I could mention who have been pillars in the fight for women's equal rights. As well as all those who have made great contributions to society.

For this post I chose to pay tribute to one of the most famous women of the 20th century: Princess Diana of Gales .
She was a woman who caused a lot of controversy in her time, because despite her position as a member of royalty, she dedicated herself to very noble causes and on many occasions she skipped the royal protocol to show her more human side.

An example of this, it was when he dared to shake hands with an AIDS patient at a public event at a time when these people were terribly marginalized and despised for their illness. She created many foundations and lent her image to a lot of charity events. All this led her to earn the title of "The People's Princess".

In addition to all this, Lady Diana was considered a fashion icon. She always dressed very elegant, her outfits that were very successful for every occasion ranged from the simplest to the most glamorous.

I was able to marvel at seeing photos of the most incredible outfits of her and I was really fascinated with many of them. But this particular red suit I really liked for its simplicity and elegance; I feel that it is a suit that I would wear and with which I would feel comfortable and at the same time beautiful.

However, the one in charge of wearing the suit is my famous model Kalany who also became a fan of "Lady Di"
Well said all this I will show you the step by step of the costume development.

Paso a paso / Step by Step

The first thing I did was the knitted bodice. I made it with high points and was adjusting it to the body of the doll.

Then I cut into the fabric, a type A lack and sewed it on the sides. Finally I sewed the skirt to the knitted bodice.

Abrazos y Bendiciones.

It is a very simple design to elaborate, but I really liked the result a lot, I hope you like it as much as I do. And again a very Happy Women's Day everyone. Hugs and blessings.

It is so interesting to read how you came to choose Lady Diana. I am not very informed about the English crown, but my mother recnetly watched a netflix serial baout this and reported a lot to me. SHe was so impressed by all the wonderful costumes and how good the royal fmaily was represented (but also how much grief Lady Diana had).
I love that you chose her (and her lovely dress) because she helped to bring awarness to marginalized people.
You dress es so cute with its mix of crochet and sewing. I love the belt that you added and think, your dress is even nicer than the original <3
