Hello friends from Needle Work Monday! I hope you have a good Monday 💛. Past week I had a lot of work giving private lessons of chemistry and maths so I couldn't sew new things, so this time I want to show you my original project for the Barbie's contest. It was this princess dress made of lace! ❤️
¡Hola amigos de Needle Work Monday! Espero que tengan un buen lunes 💚. Esta semana he tenido mucho trabajo dando clases particulares de química y matemática por lo que no pude coser cosas nuevas por el momento, así que en esta ocasión quiero mostrarles mi proyecto original para el concurso de Barbies. ¡Era este vestido de princesa hecho de encaje!
You know, I had this project ready a week before the day of the contest, but it just so happened that the Saturday before that Monday I found the wine-colored shirt and it occurred to me to do a new project, which finally was the participant in the contest. That is why the poor green dress was in the second plane, until today that I'm going to share it with you ❤️.
Saben, yo tenía listo este proyecto una semana antes del día del concurso, pero justo dió la casualidad de que el sábado previo a ese lunes encontré la camisa color vino y se me ocurrió hacer un proyecto nuevo, que fue con el cual finalmente participé del concurso. Es por eso que el pobre vestido verde quedó en segundo plano, hasta hoy que voy a compartirlo con ustedes ❤️.
To make it I used green lace, that as it is not stretchy I cannot use it for lingerie projects. To assemble the dress, I cut the pieces of the top (downloaded from here) and of a half-circular skirt (I drew the pattern myself). I cut each pieces twice.
Para hacerlo usé este encaje que como no es elastizado no puedo usarlo para los proyectos de lencería. Para armar el vestido, corté las piezas del top (descargado de aquí) y de una falda plato medio circular (el patrón lo dibujé yo misma). Corté cada pieza dos veces.
For the skirt, I cut a strip of fabric that I hand basted, gathered and then sewed on the dress.
En la falda, añadí un volado. Para ello recorté una franja de tela que hilvané a mano, fruncí y luego cosí al vestido.
As always, the challenge of everything is to join top and skirt because the waist is very small. On the back I added a velcro and on the top I added a detail with some small pearls.
Como siempre, el desafío de todo es unir top y falda porque la cintura es muy pequeña. En la espalda agregué un abrojo y en el top agregué un detalle con unas pequeñas perlas.
Finally, to complement the outfit, I made a small tiara with pearls.
Por último, para complementar el atuendo hice una pequeña tiara con perlas.
And this was the end result!

Hola Lau, que bonito vestido, casi que puedes diseñar para mí, tienes mucho estilos para los detalles y para lograr diseñar y coser vestidos hermosos que pudieses replicar para los adultos.
