Hello Needle Work friends! Happy Monday to all of you. Hope you had a great weekend 😃. After the failure of the panties I made on Friday, today I bring you a project that reached a good final result 😂. This is this white cotton panty with black elastics ❤️.
¡Hola amigos de Needle Work! Feliz lunes para todos ustedes. Espero que hayan tenido un gran fin de semana 😃. Luego del fracaso de la bombacha que hice el viernes, hoy les traigo un proyecto que llegó a un buen resultado final 😂. Se trata de esta panty de algodón blanco con elásticos negros ❤️.
Doing this project showed me the importance of using the right fabrics. In the panties I tried to make on Friday, the fabrics weren't the right ones, so the project got sloppy, but not here. This fabric is made of cotton jersey and is very easy to sew. The finishes are impeccable ❤️.
Hacer este proyecto me demostró la importancia de usar las telas correctas. En la bombacha que intenté hacer el viernes, las telas no eran las adecuadas entonces el proyecto se fue tornando desprolijo, pero aquí no. Esta tela es de jersey de algodón y es muy fácil de coser. Las terminaciones son impecables ❤️.
To make this vedettina style panty I cut the fabric into the 4 necessary pieces: one for the front, one for the back and two equal parts for the crotch.
Para hacer esta panty estilo vedettina recorté la tela en las 4 piezas necesarias: una para el frente, una para la parte de atrás y dos partes iguales para la entrepierna.
This type of mold has the reinforcement bagged. That is, sewn in such a way that the seams are hidden inside the garment. To do this, the pieces must be placed in the following way, facing the rights of each one.
Este tipo de moldería lleva el refuerzo embolsado. Es decir, cosido de tal forma que las costuras quedan ocultas dentro de la prenda. Para hacerlo, se deben colocar las piezas de la siguiente forma, enfrentando los derechos de cada una.
Then, the second piece of the crotch is superimposed, forming a kind of sandwich. A straight seam is passed at each end and the garment is turned off.
Luego, se superpone la segunda pieza de la entrepierna, formando una especie de sandwich. Se pasa una costura recta en cada extremo y se da vuelta la prenda.
Finally, the sides are joined with a straight stitch.
Finalmente se unen los laterales con puntada recta.
The next step is to zigzag the elastic on all edges. For this, the elastic is first sewn on the front of the fabric, with the decorative peaks pointing inwards.
El paso siguiente es coser con puntada zigzag el elástico en todos los bordes. para esto, primero se cose el elástico por el frente de la tela, con los picos decorativos apuntando hacia adentro.
Once this is done, the elastic is turned inward so that the peaks point outward and another zigzag seam is passed.
Una vez hecho esto, el elástico se gira hacia adentro, de modo que los picos apunten para afuera y se vuelve a pasar otra costura zigzag.
In this way, the edge of the fabric is hidden, generating a neater finish.
De este modo, el borde de la tela queda oculto generando una terminación más prolija.
Lastly, I added a small satin ribbon bow ❤️.
Por último, añadí un pequeño moño de cinta de raso ❤️.
¡Y este fue el resultado final ❤️!
This garment was very comfortable for daily use, since all the ones I had been doing until now were for special occasions 😂. I'm trying to make one of each, to practice and to have a variety of underwear outfits ❤️.
Esta prenda resultó muy cómoda para uso diario, ya que todas las que venía haciendo hasta ahora eran para ocasiones especiales 😂. Estoy intentando hacer una de cada una, para practicar y para tener variedad de outfits de ropa interior ❤️.

Oh nooooo,a I mostly look on monday I missed you problematic panty. No fun when things go wrong in sewing. But even nicer to see you back with this lovely white panty (i know, its only in my head, but this tiny white pant looks so innocent :-D)
After the disastrous garment on Friday, doing this with a good final result gave me back the desire to sew haha. And yes, this garment is very innocent, but anyway I have a lot of lace to continue working 😂.
Eso Laura acaba día mejorando mas <3 me encanta esta combinación blanco y negro, aunque nunca me han gustado las pantys blancas esta quedo hermosa, muy derechita la costura :)
