Greetings to all the friends members of this community Needleworkmonday, I make this post because I want to join the @needleworkmonday contest, which was proposed 14 days ago by the community. I've had my doubts because I'm always short of time and anything extra I propose to do even if it's small is enough for my busy life 😜. But I want to participate because I have a project in mind and I want to consolidate it, I know that if I do not set goals I will not get to undertake it.

It all started about 15 days ago, I tell you a little bit of history. I am Cuban and I have a year on this platform and about 3 months ago I found a community of Cubans called @hivecuba, which made me very happy because when I came to Hive there were very few Cubans, luckily I met a group of Venezuelans, very nice people who helped me a lot. Well, when I entered Hive Cuba I finally found Cubans, we have a group where we communicate, support each other and help each other. Through the watsapp group we called to meet at Coppelia located in the neighborhood of Vedado in Havana and get to know each other better, that day I knew I would meet the girl of @jordy0827 one of the members of the group. In the last few days she was sick and I made her an amigurumi (it was the first one I made) to give it to her, it's a bear, before I had only made simpler things, key chains and things like that.

When they saw the bear, they all fell in love with it and one of them @janetedita, came up with the idea that I could make something for the next meeting of Cubans representing Hive, some little bee or something that I could think of, I kept thinking because I really liked the idea, but here in my country the materials are a little difficult, besides the time. I have to say that as soon as I saw this initiative I decided to make 10 little bees, I know that they are not all that would be needed but in three months I have to see if I have time and find all the material, I want them all to be different and include some other technique too, but that all of them have the Hive logo somewhere and donate them for our next meeting. I wish with all my heart I had the time to complete this project, maybe for anyone else it would be very easy, but for me it takes a lot of work.

I managed to finish the first bee two days ago and I'm going to show you, actually I took the design of one I saw on the internet at the end of the post I leave the source, I made my adjustments for the difference in thread and of course the logo of Colmena for this one I did it as a banner. So every time I take a step in my project I will leave them here.

Without further ado here I show you the materials I used and the process of making my first bee and second amigurumi, I hope that as I go forward the result will be better each time, because practice is the mother of learning.

Tejer 2 piezas

10.jpg

Once all the pieces are finished we begin to join, with a sewing needle and yellow thread, first we join the head of the body, then we sew the two wings of the bees at the back and with black thread we glue the antennas, remaining as shown in the image.
Then I sewed the mouth with red thread 3 stitches lower than the eyes and made a stitch in the center to make a smile.

12.jpg

13.jpg

Finally, we make the logo of the beehive.
With the red yarn and we make a chain of 7 stitches, on it 1 low stitch in each stitch, completing 7 stitches, the first stitch we make 1 low stitch, in the second 1 high low stitch, in the third and fourth 1 barrette in each one, in the sixth 1 high low stitch and in the seventh 1 low stitch, forming a hexagon, the threads of the ends are knotted at the back.

Then make 2 chain stitches of 10 stitches and pass them through the ends of the red knitted hexagon and knot it at the back and in the center make a few stitches joining the two chain stitches.
On a small piece of red felt, draw a hexagon, cut it out and sew it to the back of the woven hexagon, so that the threads are not visible. Insert a toothpick between the fabric and the felt and the other end into the body of the bee.
Greetings friends, we'll see you again

Saludos 😘

I wait for you dear 😉

... what a cutie 😍 amigurumi, as nanix😂 tells you, I find your little bee very adorable 😍... the truth is that we are not lacking in ideas but, it is difficult to get any material here in our beautiful Cuba 😰 Double points to you!

Thank you my love, I didn't want to tell you what I was doing to surprise you, but this initiative got me going, also to make me try a little harder to fulfill my little wishes, thanks for stopping by and thanks for the idea❤️

She is so cute and I could put her on my working table.
Am glad that you have written down your goals it makes it easy to remember everything and that you found hivers in your local community too, the support we get from each other is overwhelming.

I hope to see you work more and tick out all your goals.
Well done dear @lileisabel ❤💖

Thank you very much dear @monica-ene , it has been a pleasure meeting you, that's why I want to finish this project despite the fact that it causes me a lot of work, regards

It’s always nice to hear when someone is encouraged by the challenges we do. I commend you for taking on such a challenging task for yourself. I am really hoping you meet your goal and get all 10 little bees done (well you only have 9 to go now 😃).

This first one is already a cutie and as you said the more you do the better they will be because you’ll start getting the hang of it even more.

Thanks for sharing in detail about your Hive experiences and how you’ve come to wanting to making these. It’s great to hear about all of the support you’ve been getting ~ 😉

Yes dear @crosheille, it is very good to set goals and this contest supports us and makes us strive to fulfill different projects, we are very grateful for these impulses. Hive has really opened up new horizons for me and the most beautiful thing is that it has rewarded me by meeting very nice people from all over the world. Thank you very much for your comment and I have put all my effort into achieving the goals I set for myself. All the best.❤️

I’m so happy to hear that these challenges help fulfill different projects. That’s definitely our main goal and to help motivate everyone to push themselves to achieve these things. 😍❤️

It’s a pleasure ~

Hello, that's what I'm working on, I've already made two more bees, I want to make a few more so you can see my progress, a hug dear @crosheille
