Good day creative friends on hive and needlework community, how are you all doing happy new week to you all.

Today I will love to share this beautiful gown with gathers at the front and cowl neckline I made it for my self I saw this style online and I love it so I went online to see how it was made and I give it a trial and it came out great after sewing .

cutting step

I made use of 1 and half crepe material
1 trouser yard of the black crepe

I firstly cut the upper part it’s very easy to make I measured the Half length to 17” then I fold 2” for the zipper allowance after then I cut out the armhole then I place it on the fabric to cut the front part then I slanted to get the cowl neck and it came out perfectly fine.

The next step is the down part i folded it in triangular shape the I measured the length to 28”then the front part will be double of 28” so it longer than the back then cut the flare and I notch the center to get where to sew the gathers from and it came out beautiful.
