Hello friends lovers of small crochet details. This week was my daughter lorelei's birthday, and I want to share with you my creations inspired by her.
Desde que era pequeña, aprendí a tejer tapetes y manteles tejidos para mesas, y como guía las famosas revistas de ganchillos, para mi abuela sentía que era importante que aprendiera ese talento, pues ahora pienso que para ella eso es parte de su legado para mí, también quería enseñarme a bordar, y me recordaba que mi difunta madre lo hacía muy bien, pero decía que se le había olvidado hacerlo, así que ya estando en la universidad, me inscribí en una academia de arte y oficios en el curso de bordado, ella se alegró mucho y me compro mi primer tambor de bordado, cada vez que lo veo, recuerdo el día en que me lo regalo, pues no era nada barato pero ella hizo el esfuerzo y me lo compro. Y aunque no pude terminar el curso de un año de bordado aprendí lo básico y me ha servido en algunos proyectos que me planteado.
Since I was little, I learned to knit rugs and woven tablecloths for tables, and as a guide the famous crochet magazines, for my grandmother felt it was important for me to learn that talent, because now I think that for her that is part of her legacy for me, she also wanted to teach me to embroider, and she reminded me that my late mother did it very well, She was very happy and bought me my first embroidery drum, every time I see it, I remember the day she gave it to me as a gift, it was not cheap but she made the effort and bought it for me. And although I could not finish the one year embroidery course, I learned the basics and it has helped me in some projects that I have proposed.
Después de graduarme de la Universidad en 2010 y mudarme a otra ciudad, el tejido y el bordado había quedado a un lado, hasta que en enero de 2016 me entere que estaba embarazada. Fue allí cuando decidí retomar el crochet, cuando pregunte en una tienda por un vestidito tejido, y una tolla con un detalle bordado en punto de cruz, ambos muy costosos para mí presupuesto, mi esposo me dijo: - ¿porque no lo haces tú? Mi respuesta fue nunca he hecho un vestido de bebé solo se hacer manteles, y la toalla no me convence hacerlo yo misma.
After graduating from University 2010 and moving to another city, knitting and embroidery had been put aside, until January 2016 when I found out I was pregnant. It was there when I decided to take up crochet again, when I asked in a store for a little knitted dress, and a tolla with a cross stitch embroidered detail, both very expensive for my budget, my husband said to me: - why don't you do it yourself? My answer was I have never made a baby dress, I only know how to make tablecloths, and the towel I don't know, I am not convinced to do it myself.
Al pasar los días y emocionarme con mi embarazo comencé a ver en internet fotos de vestidos tejidosde para bebés Y a ver videos de youtube pero al principio tejer sin patrón para mí era muy difícil, así que buscando conseguí un patrón de vestido bastante sencillo y comencé a tejer al principio tenía muchas dudas, y hasta no tenía mucha emoción en terminarlo mi parto se acercaba y mi esposo comenzó animarme para que lo terminara y como un mes antes del parto lo termine. Al verlo en mi pequeña, me encanto como había quedado, aunque después de hacer ese no he vuelto atreverme realizar otro vestido para bebé.
As the days went by and I got excited about my pregnancy I started to see pictures of knitted baby dresses on the internet and to watch youtube videos but at first knitting without a pattern was very difficult for me, so I looked for a very simple dress pattern and started to knit at first I had many doubts, and even I was not very excited to finish it, my husband started to encourage me to finish it and about a month before the birth I finished it. When I saw it on my little girl, I loved how it had turned out, although after making that one I have not dared to make another baby dress.
Otro de mi trabajo súper especial ha sido bordar para hacerle una toalla con un detalle bordado para mi pequeña, tenía un libro de bordado que había comprado sin pensar en ser mamá, la revista tenía muchos diseños para bebés. Asi que escogí el que más me gusto, y mi esposo compro la tela de paño la corto y le cosió un ruedo y yo la borde en punto de cruz el detalle que llevaria de adorno su toalla, el trabajo final me encanto.
Another of my super special work has been to embroider to make a towel with an embroidered detail for my little girl, I had an embroidery book that I had bought without thinking about being a mom, the magazine had many designs for baby. So I chose the one I liked the most, and my husband bought the cloth fabric, cut it and sewed a hem and I embroidered in cross stitch the detail that would adorn her towel, I loved the final work.

Para mi tener este talento o saber ha sido de gran ayuda en un país donde la crisis económica, te quita la posibilidad comprarles cosas personalizadas a tus hijos. El tejido y el bordado me han se han convertido en una súper herramienta para mí en esta etapa como mamá. y al igual que en mi etapa de madre sigo aprendiendo de este mundo del crochet que cada día se renueva y avanza.
For me having this talent or knowledge has been a great help in a country where the economic crisis takes away the possibility of buying personalized things for your children. Knitting and embroidery have become a super tool for me in this stage as a mom. And just as in my motherhood I continue to learn from this world of crochet that every day is renewed and advances.
