Needleworkmonday: Shawl finished, Socks started / Tuch fertig, Socken angefangen [Ger/Eng]

Die Muschel ist fertig! / My Seashell

Fast ein Jahr hab ich an dieser lila 'Mupfel' gesessen, aber das Tuch war auch fürs "Nebenher-Stricken" gedacht. Jetzt ist die letzte Masche 'abgehäkelt' - ich nutze zum Abketten ja immer Häkelnadeln, das geht einfacher und es wird elastischer. Ich hätte auch keine Reihe mehr stricken dürfen, wie der klitzekleine Garnrest zeigt. Jetzt wird es gespannt, ein Foto vom "fertig fürs Tragen"-Tuch gibt's nächste Woche.

After nearly a year my Seashell shawl is finished - the last stitch has been bound off (or crocheted off, since I use a crochet hook for that). And you can see: there's not much yarn left of the 700 meters (770 yards). Now it needs to be blocked, you'll get a picture of that next week.

What's on my needles / Was ist noch in Arbeit

Das neue Projekt fürs "Stricken ohne Hinzuschauen" ist mal wieder ein Paar Socken. Diesmal Größe 43, deswegen hab ich mich für 6fach-Garn entschieden damit es schneller geht ;)

I started a sock - my go-to project for mindless work. The size is bigger than I'm used to (EU size 43 = US men 10), so I decided to use sports weight yarn :)
