Ja, das ist eine Vergrößerung des Musters eines Sockens, der endlich fertig wurde. Mal wieder ein "zweiter Socken", der erste wartet seit letztem Mai darauf, endlich als Paar nützlich zu sein.
Yes, this is an enlargement of the pattern of a sock that I finally finished. Once again a "second sock", the first one has been waiting since last May to finally be useful as a pair.

Weben / Weaving
Außerdem habe ich weiter weben geübt, ein Tischläufer wurde fertiggestellt. Da habe ich die Enden umgenäht, was bei dem dicken, weichen Gewebe gar nicht so einfach war.
I also practiced weaving and finished a table runner. I sewed the ends, which was not so easy due to the thick, soft fabric.

Außerdem hatte ich euch doch von diesem "Spielzeug" Topflappen-Webrahmen erzählt. Der ist ja für das Arbeiten mit Schlaufen gedacht - man kann zwar auch Garn nehmen, dass muss aber dick sein. Ich hatte ja als Versuch eine Luftmaschenkette aus normalem Topflappen-Baumwollgarn gemacht. Ist auf Dauer aber natürlich keine Lösung und so war ich auf der Suche nach dickem Garn aus Baumwolle. Jetzt konnte ich ein interessantes Garn ergattern: Halb Baumwolle, halb Leinen, ein Bändchengarn in beige mit grün - und mit Glitzer! Das wurde sofort ausprobiert!
Some time ago I told you about this "toy" potholder weaving loom. It is meant for working with loops - you can also use yarn, but it has to be thick. As an experiment, I made a crochet chain with normal potholder cotton yarn. But of course this is no solution in the long run and so I was looking for thick cotton yarn. Now I was able to get hold of an interesting yarn: Half cotton, half linen, a ribbon yarn in beige with green - and with glitter! I tried it out immediately!

What's on my needles
Ich habe ja bekanntermaßen "Startitis", mehr neue Ideen als Durchhaltevermögen. Deswegen gibt es einiges an angefangenen Projekten... Ich arbeite jetzt jeden Mittwoch zehn Reihen an einem Lace-Tuch, das halb fertig ist (seit ca. einem Jahr). Langsam geht es so voran, aber es geht voran :)
I am known to have "startitis", more new ideas than staying power. That's why there are quite a few started projects... I am now working ten rows every Wednesday (WIP-Wednesday!) on a lace shawl that is half finished (since about a year). It's slow going, but it's going :)

About a third was finished when I took this picture, since then it's too big to be blocked for a good photo.
Sock Madness
Und dann geht bald die Sock Madness wieder los, heute habe ich mich angemeldet. Im März wird die Qualifizierung sein und im April geht es los. Ich bin schon ganz gespannt darauf!
Soon Sock Madness is starting again, I filled out the application today. Qualifying is in March and the begin of April will be the start. I'm so excited!

The green/white yarn look amazing when woven. Does it have a nice drape? Could you use it for a wide jacket (the variety which is made from rectangles with low sitting shoulders and wide sleeves)?
And with the socks: I am looking forward to all the fantastic patterns you will knit this year, I will cheer you on <3 By the way, I researched flat knit socks and I will soon try them. It would be so nice if I find a solution to knit socks without hurting my fingers with „normal“ knitting.
