Greetings to all ! I hope you're all well and good despite this pandemic. Ladies, I would like to present my dainty bag as my entry for needlework Monday. I am supposed to use this for a wedding occasion but it was cancelled. Anyways, I was able to finish it yesterday.
Actually, it was Antonia's baby outfit years ago which I've kept, having in mind that I will be using it for my bag projects. It's already quilted with thin foam hence it only needed few alterations. I only detached the balloon sleeves for my bag.
The design is in boat shape, measuring about 11 inches in diameter with elongated oval shape base.
I have painstakingly sewn the beads, pearls and sequence manually for three days.
The base is filled with pearls for special occasion only. I often use my crocheted pouches on regular routines
Manual braiding of yarn in four columns are more suitable for the handles.
I used the thick flat yarn for the cords and handles.
I inserted the cord on both ends of the handle before cross locking.
