But before I talk about my project, I want to tell you that I consider myself an amigurumi lover, and very few times I have knitted anything other than a doll. So for me it is quite an achievement to have knitted my first blouse, with stitches different from half stitch or purl, that really is an achievement in my life as a knitter.
But I want to go a little further back, it turns out that my mom was a fan of crafts, more specifically knitting and embroidery. She made really beautiful things, especially clothes and had a wide experience doing all kinds of stitches both crochet and two needles, so I should be an expert knitter, but no, it turns out that the girl, that is me, so rebellious she, refused to learn from one of the best knitters I've ever known: my mom.
When I was 16 years old my mom tried to introduce me to this beautiful world of knitting, so she taught me how to knit sweaters and socks, reluctantly I did it and knitted my first sweater, which was a bit disproportionate, but it was ok for a first attempt. What I did like was knitting socks, but I don't remember how I did it, one day I will try to knit some. Very soon I gave up knitting, because I considered that I did not have the patience necessary to learn how to knit.
It would be 24 years before I could get my hands on knitting needles again, but this time, it turned out that I was the one who arrived at my mother's bedside. Mom was going through an illness that finally took her and for the last year and a half of her life, she lived with me. So with the intention that she would cheer up and I would make something she would like, I bought yarn and brought her a pattern of a kawaii amigurumi, a little ball. The truth is that from the first day I felt an enigmatic attraction for amigurumis. So what can I tell you, my mom taught me how to make amigurumis.
It's been almost 9 years since my first amigurumi, I have made all kinds of amigurumis, a few booties and hats, but I had never tried a garment. 3 weeks ago cleaning out my yarn drawer, I found a fantastic blue yarn I had bought about 7 years ago and said to myself it was time to use it.
Thinking what to do with the yarn, it came to my mind to make a swimsuit, so I gave myself the task of knitting the top, when I finished it I realized that the yarn was too thick and the top was too heavy, so it wouldn't work as a swimsuit, so I decided to continue knitting and joined the top at the top and very soon I thought about knitting a blouse.
But since I only had one cone of yarn and the fabric was very heavy, the blouse would not be comfortable and I would not have enough yarn, so I decided to change the type of yarn on the back and knit a fabric with pineapple figures. They turned out well, of course looking closely you can see the mistakes, but for people who don't know how to knit, the detail will go unnoticed.
Then I decided to weave the lower part of the shirt, alternating blue with white, a fan-shaped weave. I loved the result, as the combination of colors looks very cheerful. The truth is that I had to make and unmake the stitch many times, because it did not work, but finally the effort achieved its results.
To make the blouse more eye-catching, I decided to make a border at the top with white color, which gives softness to the fabric. Finally, as the blouse is close to the body, I decided to leave it open on one side and put buttons on it.
I feel very proud of my first blouse attempt, I have learned with it many things I should not have done and many other decisions I should have made at the time, but I do not plan to disassemble the blouse, it stayed that way.
By the way, I want to tell you a secret, my mother left me all her needles as an inheritance and they are the ones I use in all the knitting I do.

Pero quiero ir un poco más atrás, resulta que mi mamá era una fanática de las manualidades, más específicamente tejer y bordar. Hacía realmente unas cosas preciosas, sobre todo ropa y tenía una amplia experiencia haciendo todo tipo de puntos tanto a ganchillo como a dos agujas, por lo que yo debería ser una experta tejiendo, pero no, resulta que la niña, o sea yo, tan rebelde ella, se negó a aprender de unas de las mejores tejedoras que he conocido: mi mamá.
Cuando tenía 16 años mamá intentó adentrarme en este mundo tan lindo del tejido, así que me enseñó a tejer sueters y medias, a regañadientes lo hice y tejí mi primer suéter, que porciento me quedó desproporcionado, pero estaba bien para un primer intento. Lo que si me gustó fue tejer medias, pero no recuerdo como las hice, un día intentaré tejer alguna. Muy pronto desistí del tejido, pues consideré que yo no tenía la paciencia necesaria para aprender a tejer.
Habrían de pasar 24 años, para volver a tomar en mis manos unas agujas de tejer, pero esta vez, resultó que quien llegó junto a la cama de mi mamá fui yo. Mamá estaba pasando por una enfermedad que finalmente se la llevó y el último año y medio de vida, vivió conmigo. Así que con intención de que ella se animara y yo hiciera algo que a ella le gustara, compré hilo y le llevé un patrón de un amigurumi kawaii, una bolita. La verdad desde el primer día sentí una enigmática atracción por los amigurumis. Y pues que les cuento mamá me enseñó a hacer amigurumis.
Han pasado casi 9 años desde mi primer amigurumi, he hecho todo tipo de amigurumis, unos pocos escarpines y gorros, pero nunca había intentado una prenda de vestir. Hace 3 semanas limpiando mi gaveta de hilos, encontré un hilo azul fantástico que había comprado hace unos 7 años y me dije que era hora de utilizarlo.

Luego decidí tejer la parte inferior de la camisa intercalando el color azul con el blanco, un tejido en forma de abanico. El resultado me encantó, pues se ve muy alegre la combinación de colores. La verdad tuve que hacer y deshacer muchas veces el punto, pues no me salía, pero finalmente el esfuerzo logró sus resultados.
Para hacer más llamativa la blusa, decidí hacer un borde en la parte superior con color blanco, lo que le da suavidad al tejido. Finalmente como la blusa es pegada al cuerpo, decidí dejarla abierta por un lateral y colocarle botones.
Me siento muy orgullosa de mi primer intento de blusa, he aprendido con ella muchas cosas que no debí haber hecho y otras tantas decisiones que debí tomar en su momento, pero no pienso desarmar la blusa, ya se quedó así.
Por cierto les quiero contar un secreto, mamá me dejó como herencia todas sus agujas y son las que utilizo en todos los tejidos que hago.
