Experimentar con colores y texturas en la costura ha sido una experiencia gratificante para mí, el patchwork es una técnica un poco compleja que aún sigo aprendiendo, pero aún si miedo a atreverme la realizó, hoy les traigo la confección de un hermoso top que quise llamar "Top Ajedrez" por los colores y la forma en la que corte la tela.

Experimenting with colors and textures in sewing has been a rewarding experience for me, patchwork is a bit complex technique that I'm still learning, but even if I'm afraid to dare I made it, today I bring you the making of a beautiful top that I wanted to call "Top Ajedrez" because of the colors and the way I cut the fabric.
Cómo si fuera un tablero de ajedrez fuí alternando los colores negro y blanco, colores de los que me encanta combinar, está blusa la confeccione para mí hermana pues ella quería este modelo, pero yo me tomé las fotos para mostrarles como quedó, espero disfruten el proceso y comencemos...

Necesitaremos || We will need
Cómo siempre para este proyecto necesitaremos tela de micro rib en blanco y negro, utilicé hilo negro, Alfileres, Tijera, Cinta métrica, patrón en papel, Aguja y máquina de coser.
As always for this project we will need black and white micro rib fabric, I used black thread, pins, scissors, measuring tape, paper pattern, needle and sewing machine.

Paso a paso. || Step to step.
Como no quería dañar mi patrón lo doble a la mitad para poder sacar las piezas, este patrón tiene 38cm desde el escote hasta el ruedo, pero este dependerá sé si lo quieres más largo.
Vamos a doblar la tela y colocarla en una superficie plana, el primer paso es colocar el patrón sobre la tela, sujetamos con alfileres para que no se mueva, yo fuí cortando cada pieza una por una, también corté las mangas, una negra y una blanca. Debemos tener en cuenta agregar 1 cm de margen de costura.
- As I didn't want to damage my pattern I folded it in half to be able to take out the pieces, this pattern has 38cm from the neckline to the hem, but this will depend if you want it longer.
- We are going to fold the fabric and place it on a flat surface, the first step is to place the pattern on the fabric, we hold it with pins so it doesn't move, I went cutting each piece one by one, I also cut the sleeves, one black and one white. We must take into account to add 1 cm seam allowance.
- Así quedaría las piezas ya cortadas, ahora vamos a coser, primero uní los las dos piezas superiores, igual las inferiores y seguí uniendo estás dos. Seguimos enfrentando los derechos de las dos piezas del top (Delantera y trasera), Y sujetamos con alfileres las hombros y pasamos costura recta y luego zigzag para rematar la costura.
- Now we are going to sew, first I joined the two upper pieces, the same with the lower ones and I continued joining these two. We continue facing the right sides of the two pieces of the top (front and back), and we pin the shoulders and pass straight seam and then zigzag to finish the seam.
- Ya cosidos los hombros vamos a sujetar las mangas a la sisa de la blusa, me ayude con alfileres y luego fuí a la máquina y pasé costura recta y zigzag para un mejor acabado en los bordes (👀 OJO!!! Muy pendiente de la dirección de la tela, el derecho y el revés). Luego enfrente los derechos de top y cerré con costura recta desde las mangas hasta los costados.
- Once the shoulders are sewn, we are going to attach the sleeves to the armhole of the blouse, I helped myself with pins and then I went to the machine and sewed straight and zigzag seams for a better finish on the edges (👀 EYE!!! Very attentive to the direction of the fabric, the right and the back). Then I faced the top rights and closed with straight stitching from the sleeves to the sides.
- Los bordes de las mangas y el ruedo de la camisa los cosí la con la máquina puntada de ojal, o un zigzag menudo, la pasamos estirando la orilla de la tela lo más que podemos para que nos quedé un lindo faralao.
- I sewed the edges of the sleeves and the hem of the shirt with the buttonhole stitch machine, or a zigzag stitch, stretching the edge of the fabric as much as possible so that we get a nice faralao.
- Con un tira de 4 cm de ancho vamos a coser el cuello, vamos a doblar la tira a la mitad, y sujetamos con alfileres al contorno del cuello y cosemos derecho del cuello y derecho de la tira, volteamos y pasamos otra costura por la parte de afuera, y ya tenemos el cuello listo.
- With a 4 cm wide strip we are going to sew the collar, we are going to fold the strip in half, and pin it to the contour of the collar and sew the right side of the collar and the right side of the strip, turn it over and sew another seam on the outside, and we have the collar ready.
