Hoy vengo con mucha alegría a contarles que sigo aprendiendo a usar mi nueva maquina de coser, y para ello me he propuesto practicar realizando pequeños proyectos, la idea es ir conociendo la maquina hasta que pueda confeccionarme una blusa, que es mi meta por ahora.
Today I come with great joy to tell you that I am still learning to use my new sewing machine, and for this I have proposed to practice making small projects, the idea is to get to know the machine until I can make a blouse, which is my goal for now.
Ayer mi esposo @filoriologo adquirió un nuevo celular, una meta lograda gracias a sus ahorros hechos con su ganancia en HIVE, puedes ver su experiencia AQUI , así que no alcanzó para un forro nuevo y me pidió que le hiciera uno con tela mientras ahorramos para comprarnos unos forros que protejan mejor a nuestros celulares.
Yesterday my husband @filoriologo got a new cell phone, a goal achieved thanks to his savings made with his HIVE winnings, you can see his experience HERE, so he couldn't afford a new lining and asked me to make him one with fabric while we save to buy some linings to better protect our cell phones.
Me puse manos a la obra, tijeras, maquina, hilos y agujas y comencé a crear mis forros. Te cuento cómo lo hice:
I got down to work, scissors, machine, threads and needles and started to create my linings. I'll tell you how I did it:
Con todos mis materiales listos: Maquina, tijera, tela, regla, hilos , agujas, calcomanías.
With all my materials ready: Machine, scissors, fabric, ruler, threads , needles, stickers.
Lo primero que hice fue medir los teléfonos y medir ese tamaño en la tela y cortarla.
The first thing I did was to measure the phones and measure that size on the fabric and cut it out.
Luego de tener los forros picados, preparé la maquina para empezar a coser.
After I had the linings cut, I prepared the machine to start sewing.
Marqué el lateral por donde iría mi costura con una tiza blanca.
I marked the side where my seam would go with white chalk.
Luego realicé la costura de la parte lateral del forro,por el revés de la tela.
Then I sewed the side seam of the lining, on the back side of the fabric.
Luego marqué la linea del fondo del forro con una tiza blanca.
I then marked the bottom line of the lining with white chalk.
Aquí cosí el fondo de los forros.
Here I sewed the bottom of the linings.
Listos los forros cosidos por el revés, me dispuse a hacer los remates con una aguja e hilo.
Once the back-stitched linings were ready, I set about making the finishing touches with a needle and thread.
Enhebré mi aguja, que me costó un poco ya que aunque uso lentes no podía ver el orificio de la aguja.
I threaded my needle, which took me a while because even though I wear glasses I didn't ask to see the needle hole.
Luego cosí las puntas de los forros por donde la aguja de la maquina no cosió, y así le dí los detalles finales.
Then I sewed the ends of the linings where the machine needle didn't sew, and that's how I gave it the final details.
Volteé mis forros y me dispuse a colocarles las calcomanias, al mío le puse el de emoji de Amor, y a mi esposo el de los lentes.
I flipped my liners over and put the stickers on them, I put the Love emoji on mine and the glasses emoji on my husband.
Y Ta Ta Tan... Listos mis forros para nuestros celulares...
And Ta Ta Tan... Ready my covers for our cell phones...
Me encanta este mundo de las agujas y los hilos, siempre vi a mi mamá creando cosas maravillosas, creo que ahora llegó mi momento.
I love this world of needles and yarns, I always saw my mom creating wonderful things, I think now my time has come.

Me encanta te atrevas a nuevos retos, este de hoy te ha quedado super, además te has preocupado por las terminaciones, lo cual garantiza un buen resultado, luciendo impecable. El detalle de las calcomanías le dio un toque especial además de diferenciar a los forros.
