A falta de ocho días para la finalización de la iniciativa creada por la comunidad de HIVE-CON la cual recibió como nombre "Mi Superhéroe o Villano Favorito", decidí por fin escribir no sobre un héroe, sino sobre un villano el cual ha presentado innumerables versiones y que ha influenciado a muchos otros personajes; un villano que no deja de sonreír, que se le ha considerado como un payaso, un psicópata, un agente del caos, alguien que posiblemente tuvo un mal día y eso le causó tanto daño que decidió tomar la imagen de un bromista para crear terror.
With eight days to go until the end of the initiative created by the HIVE-CON community, which was named "My Favorite Superhero or Villain", I finally decided to write not about a hero, but about a villain who has presented countless versions and who has influenced many other characters; a villain who never stops smiling, who has been considered a clown, a psychopath, an agent of chaos, someone who possibly had a bad day and that caused him so much damage that he decided to take the image of a prankster to create terror.
Siempre he creído que "The Joker" es el villano perfecto, es un personaje que está dispuesto a hacer daño sin importar generó, raza o edad, es un psicópata y nada más y justamente por eso creo que es un personaje complicado, pero a la vez fácil de definir. Originalmente, mi percepción del personaje proviene por ser un burdo criminal que usaba su consecuente risa y maquillaje para diferenciarlo de los otros villanos que hacen vida en Ciudad Gótica, esto era lo que mostraba el actor Cesar Romero en su interpretación del personaje de la serie televisiva de Batman, estrenada en 1966; este era un criminal colorido, bromista, un villano más que el Caballero de la Noche debería atrapar en cada episodio que apareciera, pero justamente eso era algo que me gustaba ver porque rompía el molde de los demás que siempre esperaban ser más que el héroe de la historia; a pesar de su simpleza, el Guasón en esa serie siempre fue un personaje caótico.
I have always believed that "The Joker " is the perfect villain, he is a character that is willing to do harm regardless of gender, race or age, he is a psychopath and nothing more and that is exactly why I think he is a complicated character, but at the same time easy to define. Originally, my perception of the character comes from being a crude criminal who used his consistent laughter and makeup to differentiate him from the other villains that make life in Gotham City, this was what the actor Cesar Romero showed in his interpretation of the character in the Batman television series, premiered in 1966; this was a colorful criminal, joker, one more villain that the Dark Knight should catch in every episode he appeared, but just that was something I liked to see because he broke the mold of the others who always expected to be more than the hero of the story; despite its simplicity, the Joker in that series was always a chaotic character.
Así como sucedió con Batman, lo que tenía como definición de ese personaje (anteriormente descrito) de las series de TV tanto en su versión acción-real y animada, cambió al momento de ver el film dirigido por Tim Burton en 1989; el Guasón Interpretado por Jack Nicholson cambió completamente todo mi pensamiento sobre ese personaje y lo mostró tal y cuál es escrito y dibujado en los comics desde 1970; personalmente para la época del estreno del film no leía comics y mi conocimiento se basaba en los visto en televisión, por lo hecho por Jack fue iluminante, algo imposible de replicar, de repetir y por eso cuando vi la serie: "Batman: The Animated Series" y el film animado: "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm"; encontré una excelente versión del personaje más apegado a su desenfrenada locura y a su combate eterno con el vigilante de Ciudad Gótica.
Just as it happened with Batman, what I had as a definition of that character (previously described) from the TV series both in its live-action and animated version, changed when I saw the film directed by Tim Burton in 1989; The Joker played by Jack Nicholson completely changed all my thoughts about that character and showed him as he is written and drawn in the comics since 1970; personally at the time of the film's release I did not read comics and my knowledge was based on what I saw on TV, but what Jack did was enlightening, something impossible to replicate, to repeat and that's why when I saw the series: "Batman: The Animated Series" and the animated film: "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm"; I found an excellent version of the character more attached to his unbridled madness and his eternal combat with the vigilante of Gotham City.
Siempre he pensado que la versión que creó Nolan para el segundo film de su magnífica trilogía dio otro sentido al personaje, a pesar de que mantuvo en secreto su origen, en mi opinión hace una clara referencia a ser uno de los personajes más inteligentes y despiadado de dicha trilogía; todo ese asunto de ser un "Agente del Caos" es una vil mentira en dónde vemos a alguien tomar y usar a personas con deficiencia mental, con tan solo usar pinturas en su rostro que tapan su sonrisa hecha de cicatrices; alguien que le molestaba que le llamarán "loco" y eso es porque era más inteligente que todos los demás, siempre un paso adelante aunque su única equivocación fue pensar que la locura del héroe era igual a la de otros. Mi interpretación favorita de ese personaje.
I've always thought that the version created by Nolan for the second film of his magnificent trilogy gave another sense to the character, even though he kept his origin a secret, in my opinion it makes a clear reference to being one of the most intelligent and ruthless characters of the trilogy; all that stuff about being an "Agent of Chaos" is a vile lie where we see someone taking and using people with mental deficiency, just using paints on his face that cover his smile made of scars; someone who resented being called "crazy" and that's because he was smarter than everyone else, always one step ahead although his only mistake was to think that the hero's madness was equal to others. My favorite interpretation of that character.
Después de toda estás versiones de series y películas, decidí explorar al personaje desde la fuente original, los comics que sirvieron de fuente para la realización de diferentes films y no hay duda que eso enriquece más la historia de "The Joker"; algunas tratan de explorar su origen, pero todas al final hacen crecer su historia de terror, caos y lucha para doblegar a su gran rival, posiblemente ese sea su error de siempre, hacer que alguien que parece nunca doblegarse acepte que está tan loco como él y eso lo hace caer en tener como motivo de vida el siempre luchar contra la misma imagen hasta su momento final; personalmente nunca me atrajo conocer el pasado del Guasón, pero si creo que como relato, puede crearse excelentes producciones que siga impulsando a este personaje, como por ejemplo el film (regreso a su versión fílmica) protagonizado por Joaquin Phoenix en dónde a pesar de mostrar un origen, este sigue siendo ambiguo por toda la historia relatada en el film aunque así como dije que la versión escrita por Nolan e interpretada por Heath Ledger es mi favorita, puedo decir que la interpretación de Phoenix es la más apegada a la vista en los comics, la evolución del personaje es mágica y es puedo decir que este es una clara representación del personaje en dónde su mente percibe una realidad diferente, caótica, violenta, desenfrenada y que seguramente tendremos una versión más en la próxima secuela que se estrenará muy pronto.
After all these versions of series and movies, I decided to explore the character from the original source, the comics that served as a source for the realization of different films and there is no doubt that this enriches the story of "The Joker"; some of them try to explore his origin, but all of them at the end make his story of terror, chaos and fight to bend his great rival grow, possibly that is his mistake, to make someone who seems to never bend accept that he is as crazy as he is and that makes him fall in having as a motive of life to always fight against the same image until his final moment; personally I was never attracted to know the past of the Joker, but I do believe that as a story, you can create excellent productions that continue to drive this character, such as the film (return to its film version) starring Joaquin Phoenix where despite showing an origin, this remains ambiguous for all the story told in the film although as I said that the version written by Nolan and played by Heath Ledger is my favorite, I can say that the interpretation of Phoenix is the most attached to the one seen in the comics, the evolution of the character is magical and I can say that this is a clear representation of the character where his mind perceives a different reality, chaotic, violent, unbridled and that surely we will have one more version in the next sequel to be released very soon.
Así como Batman es mi héroe favorito, The Joker es mi villano favorito; a pesar de ver diferentes versiones de un mismo personaje, siempre he dicho que es él contra todos y no es que busque el enfrentamiento, es tal como se explica en "The Dark Knight", hace las cosas por hacerlas, como un perro que persigue a un carro sin razón aparente o es algo que él quiere que crean eso, esa ambigüedad del personaje en hacer o no algo realmente malo, algo que dañe a algún inocente o a alguno de sus enemigos sin importar cuando y donde lo convierte en un personaje sumamente peligroso, para mí el peor y a la vez el mejor. Sé que pronto tendremos más de una nueva versión del personaje, el cual tengo la noción que será tal como sucede con el interpretado por Phoenix el cual estará muy unido a versiones de los comics y eso hace que tenga muchas expectativas, a eso también espero ver cómo será su versión en la próxima serie animada a estrenarse en Amazon Prime Video y eso demuestra de lo importante que es este personaje, es imposible liberarse de él. Just as Batman is my favorite hero, The Joker is my favorite villain; despite seeing different versions of the same character, I've always said that it's him against everyone and it's not that he seeks confrontation, it's just as explained in "The Dark Knight", he does things for the sake of doing them, like a dog that chases a car for no apparent reason or is something he wants you to believe that, that ambiguity of the character in doing or not doing something really bad, something that harms an innocent or one of his enemies no matter when and where makes him an extremely dangerous character, for me the worst and at the same time the best. I know that soon we will have more of a new version of the character, which I have the notion that it will be as it happens with the one played by Phoenix which will be very close to versions of the comics and that makes me have high expectations, to that I also hope to see how will be his version in the next animated series to be released on Amazon Prime Video and that shows how important this character is, it is impossible to get rid of him. Amigooo naguará QUE MARAVILLA DE POST!!! Escogiste tambien a uno de mis villanos favoritos, es una maravilla lo que han hecho a través de los años con este personaje, los actores que lo han interpretado todos les han dado su toque personal y han magnificado las cualidades del personaje, esa representación de Phoenix es una obra de arte de la psiquiatría de verdad, es maravillosa esa película en su totalidad, pero la actuación de ese hombre fue magistral. Y bueno ¿como olvidar a Ledger? el caballero de la noche será mi película favorita de Batman por este Joker, son tan únicos ambos que no puedo decidirme por cual me gusta más.

Puedes hacerlo del Guasón, lo que importa es tu punto de vista, de lo que quieras decir sobre el personaje.
Los actores que cite hicieron un gran trabajo, aunque se me olvidó nombrar a Mark Hamill quien ha hecho la voz del Guasón en versiones animadas y las expectativas que tengo sobre la interpretación del personaje por parte del actor Barry Keoghan.
La versión de Joaquin Phoenix, de verdad que es magistral. Yo creo que un estudiante de psiquiatría se queda fascinado viéndolo 😅

La interpretación de Phoenix fue magistral, siempre recuerdo algunas de sus escenas que despeus de cometer un vil crimen, este hizo reír al público dentro de la sala de cine con otra ocurrencia, eso me pareció muy impactante de su actuación y por eso tengo muchas expectativas para la secuela.
