In #MESExperiments 27 I repeat the previous Experiment 26 which involved adding tape friction to make a gyroscope rise from a very steep 72° angle but this time also add a small weight to prevent the outer gyro casing from rotating due to the high spin friction. And as before, the gyroscope rises very fast from a 70° angle but this time in a much more controlled motion. In fact, besides the chaotic motion of the previous experiment, overall the rising ability and rates were very similar regardless if the outer casing rotates or not.
Experiment Results and Comparison
The full experiment results are tabulated and graphed below, as well as compared with Experiments 25 and 26.

Notice the similarities between the added weight (no casing rotation) and the non-added weight (casing rotation) experiments.
For reference, here is a comparison with previous tests from Experiment 23,25, and 26.
Unedited Video and Weight Measurements
The original unedited experiment are shown here: https://youtu.be/0PE8TZKsRQc
The gyroscope, tape, and added weight measurements are listed below.
- Gyroscope: 150.69 g
- Tape: 150.77 - 150.69 = 0.08 g
- Added weight: 7.24 g
- Added weight + tape: 7.32 g
- Ratio of added weight/gyroscope: 7.32/150.69 = 4.68%
The weight reading images are shown below.
Full Sequence of Events
The full sequence of events of the experiment are listed below via screenshots of the experiment video.

Did You left Steemit for Hive?
I dont understand the concept of Hive. It looks exactly the same just has red color instead of green somewhere. Why accounts were already created, is it like creators of Steemit divided into 2 groups and dont like each other now?
Yeah, I'm mainly on Hive now. I still post on DTube and link the videos in Steem.
Basically what happened was there was "Hardfork" which essentially means the Steem blockchain was copied and pasted. Last month, Justin Sun from Tron bought the Steemit Inc. company and was given millions of Steem which were promised to the community to not be used for governance but rather for community development.
This gave more centralized control over the blockchain and the earlier developers of Steem tried to lock up Justin's Steem to prevent having control of the blockchain into essentially 1 person. After negotiating and battling it out through essentially a digital war, the developers of Steempeak.com (which is just a portal to Steem just as Steemit.com is) decided to just hardfork (they are peakd.com now).
Basically from the time of the hardfork everything is the same in the Hive blockchain except specific accounts working with Justin Tron and Steemit Inc don't have the equivalent amount of Hive. Thus there is less centralization and the majority of the early Steem community have also moved year.
Time will tell how each blockchains will do in the future. This is similar to Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum vs Ethereum Classic and many others. Maybe one day I will hardfork into MES blockchain...
So Steemit is "original" and this Justin is Hive, or Steemit is now Justin's and Hive is "original" Steemit?
Steemit is a company and Steemit.com is just a website that let's people interact with the Steem blockchain. You can view the Steem blockchain on other websites, such as Steempeak.com
Justin bought the Steemit company/website which included the Steem tokens owned by Steemit.
Hive is a new blockchain and started as a duplicate of Steem minus Justin's equivalent Hive amount. The Steemit.com website is also cloned to Hive.blog; and Steempeak.com is cloned to Peakd.com
