Hello dear friends I hope you are very well. In a new recycling job, today I want to show the community my latest contribution. It is a miniature replica of Batman's BATDPOD that appeared in the movie The Dark Knight. This powerful motorcycle was used by Batman and Catwoman, it has a very beautiful and futuristic aesthetic that makes it a unique piece, I think they were inspired by it to create the Tron Legacy motorcycles. This piece is made with materials such as aluminum can, wood, wire and plastic. Hope you like.
Hola queridos amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien. En un nuevo trabajo de reciclaje hoy quiero mostrar a la comunidad mi último aporte. Se trata de una réplica en miniatura de la BATDPOD de Batman que salió en la película The Dark Knight. Esta poderosa motocicleta fue usada por Batman y Catwoman, tiene una estética muy hermosa y futurista que la hace una pieza única, creo que se inspiraron en ella para crear las motocicletas de Tron Legacy. Esta pieza esta hecha con materiales como lata de aluminio, madera, alambre y plástico. Espero que les guste.
First we make the wheels, we take the lower part of a soda can and cut it, we take out four parts in total that we will then glue and thus we will take out two wheels. It is important to make them wide just like the original batpod.
En primer lugar hacemos las ruedas, tomamos la parte inferior de una lata de soda y la cortamos, sacamos cuatro partes en total que luego pegaremos y así sacaremos dos ruedas. Es importante hacerlas anchas tal como las de la batpod original.
El chasis de esta motocicleta es minimalista, para dar mas movilidad a Batman a cambio de protección. PAra hacerlo utilizamo un tubo de plastico perforado que ira en dirección de la rueda de lantera, y en cada hoyo introducimos dos tubos hechos con lata de aluminio para colocar la rueda trasera y la rueda delantera.
Then we put the last tubes for the chassis, at the ends we open the holes for the axles of the wheels. We introduce a wheel and see how it looks.Luego ponemos los ultimos tubos para el chasis, en los extremos abrimos los agujeros para los ejes de las ruedad. Introducimos una rueda y vemos como queda.
Next we do the part where the cannons and machine guns go. With a piece of wood we draw with a pencil to make the shape and cut with a knife with a saw. We take out the shape little by little with great care so as not to cut our hands. With a soft sandpaper we mold until we achieve the best result.Seguidamente hacemos la parte donde van los cañones y ametralladoras. Con un trozo de madera dibujamos con lápiz para hacer la forma y cortamos con una navaja con una sierra. Sacamos la forma poco a poco con mucho cuidado para no cortarnos las manos. Con una lija suave moldeamos hasta alcanzar el mejor resultado.
We do a test assembling the parts to see how the process goes.
Hacemos una prueba armando las partes para ver como va el proceso.
Now we make the motor with a plastic lid that comes in the jarae cough jars. We take the cover and with super glue we fix it on the front of the chassis. Then we put it back together to see if it was in the right place.Ahora hacemos el motor con una tapa de plástico que vienen en los frascos de jarae para la tos. Tomamos la tapa y con super pegamento lo fijamos en la parte delantera del chasis. Luego volvemos a armar para ver si nos quedó en el lugar indicado.
We disassemble all the parts that we have made so far and proceed to paint the chassis with the engine in black with spray paint.Desarmamos todas las piezas que hemos hecho hasta ahora y procedemos a pintar el chasis con el motor de color negro con pintura en spray.
Then we make the flyer for the direction. We take the base of the can and cut it with the intention of removing two circular pieces. These pieces will be glued to some tubes that we will also make with an aluminum can. Finally we join them at the bottom of the chassis and thus it will be fixed as the original model.Luego hacemos el volante de para la disrección. Tomamos la base de la lata y la cortamos con la intencion de sacar dos piezas circulares. Estas piezas iran pegada a unos tubos que haremos tambien con lata de aluminio. Por ultimo los unimos por la parte inferior del chasis y así nos quedará fijado tal como el modelo original.
Finally we paint the wooden parts and with tubes made of aluminum can we place the machine guns. We assemble the motorcycle and place the seat with a piece of plastic cut in a rectangular shape.Por ultimo pintamos las partes de madera y con tubos hecho con lata de aluminio colocamos las ametralladoras. Armamos la moto y colocamos el asiento con un pedazo de plastico cortado de forma rectangular.Final Work
This is how the final work has been, its size is 20 centimeters and it weighs very little. This motorcycle model is one of the ones I like the most from Batman and especially from the Nolan Trilogy.
