Greetings my dear reader friends, today I want to present you a beautiful mask to protect us from the forces of evil ;)

Saludos mis queridos amigos lectores, el día de hoy quiero presentarles una preciosa mascara que nos proteja de las fuerzas del mal ;)

For those of you who were not fortunate enough to play Crash, I present Aku Aku the Guardian and character guide of this famous and entertaining game (you can read a little more about the character here) . This curious mask can be made with a little love and imagination and will look great as a keychain or as an accessory for your cell phone.

Para los que no tuvieron la fortuna de jugar Crash les presento a Aku Aku el Guardián y guía del personaje de este famoso y entretenido juego (pueden consultar un poco más sobre el personaje acá) . Esta curiosa mascara podremos realizarla con un poco de cariño e imaginación y quedara genial como un llavero o como accesorio para el celular.

To make Aku Aku I used a piece of dry bark that I got and for the details of the face I used eva rubber. Follow me step by step and let's see how to make this curious protective mask.

Para realizar a Aku Aku utilice un trozo de corteza seca que conseguí y para los detalles del rostro utilicé goma eva . Acompáñame al paso a paso y veamos como armar esta curiosa mascara protectora.

The first thing we will do is cut a rectangle from the piece of bark.

Lo primero que haremos será cortar un rectángulo del trozo de corteza.

Then with a little nail varnish I will paint the bark to give it shine.

Luego con un poco de barniz de uñas pintare la corteza para dar brillo.

On a small piece of red eva rubber we will make Aku Aku's mouth and eyebrows.

En un trocito de goma eva roja haremos la boca y cejas de Aku Aku.

We will add the rest of the details such as beard nose (leaves type) and feathers with small pieces of eva rubber, and we will apply heat to the pieces before gluing them to give them a more rounded look.

Agregaremos el restos de detalles como nariz barba (tipo hojas) y plumas con pequeños trozos de goma eva, e iremos aplicando calor a las piezas antes de pegarlas para dar un aspecto más redondeado.

Once everything is glued as it should be, we add some lines to the leaves and feathers.

Ya con todo pegado como debería agregamos algunas líneas a las hojas y a las plumas.

We will finish in this case by adding a piece of chain with hot silicone to the back of the mask and attach the link to the key ring.

Finalizaremos en este caso agregando un trozo de cadena con silicón caliente a la parte trasera de la máscara y uniremos el eslabón con el aro del llavero.
