It is a fairly showy caterpillar with a green color in different shades and with silver dyes, with very significant protrusions and at first glance seem dangerous, this caterpillar is a juvenile state of a moth of the saturniidae family and is located in the genus Sphingicampa.

This small caterpillar was walking in search of tender leaves in a tree of not so high embergadura, Caught my attention the protrusions that protrude from it, as well as its green, purple and silver colors, although in the photo you can not see much the camera captures them in a yellowish tone.

These large protrusions look dangerous but unlike other species of caterpillars, this one lacks vellocities, but its spines run throughout its body ending with a single horn in the final part of its body, it is worth mentioning that in the largest protrusions they have tiny silver-colored spines.

I tryed to look for information about the caterpillar but it is null, there is more talk about the moth, the caterpillar is only said that at a young age it eats the saplings of the leaves and at an older age it eats stronger and more mature leaves, I did not have clear ideas, so I had to request some help to @abneagro a user who is well known for his contributions of information about different arthropods. thanks Abner!!
