Here in this post, I am going to share a battle using "STONESPLITTER ORC" which is an Earth Monster and it has the "Retaliate" ability.
By this post, I am going to attend in SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! RETALIATE which is organized by @splinterlands.

I was using my EARTH Summoner "WIZARD OF EASTWOOD" along with "STONESPLITTER ORC" in level 1, "SCREECHING VULTURE" in level 1.
Now Let Me introduced you to The Cards I have Used In The Battle.
SUMMONER: WIZARD OF EASTWOOD(RARE EARTH Summoner)
The Wizard of Eastwood is the long-time rival of the Magi of the Forest. The Magi no longer summons but teaches new summoners from his Summoner's Green school in the Western Forest. NO 1: STONESPLITTER ORC(RARE EARTH Monster)
"STONESPLITTER ORC" is a Rare Earth monster that has the "Retaliate" ability. At level 1, this monster comes with,
3 Melee attack
3 Speed
4 Health and 1 armor.
"STONESPLITTER ORC" is a very special monster because of it's "Retaliate" ability. This monster has a higher chance of attacking the enemy monsters twice in one round. And with 3 Melee damage, this monster is destructive.
It cost only 06 mana to use in the battle.
NO 2: SCREECHING VULTURE(COMMON EARTH Monster)

"SCREECHING VULTURE" is a Common Earth monster that has the "Oportunity" and "Flying" ability. At level 1, this monster comes with,
1 Melee attack
2 Speed
2 Health.
It cost only 03 mana to use in the battle.

I was using EARTH Summoner "WIZARD OF EASTWOOD" which has the ability to reduce the armor of every enemy monster. And the opponent was using FIRE Summoner "PYRE" which increased the speed of every enemy monster. Also the enemy monster "CREEPING OOZE" Rare "Slow" ability slow down all my monsters.

In most of the matches we see, the monsters of the highest speed attack the enemy monsters first. But this match was the exception to that rule. The lowest speed monsters will attack first. So the slowest monster "SCREECHING VULTURE" first attacks "CREEPING OOZE" and kills that monster. As the second slowest monster in this battle, it's "LIVING LAVA" turn to attack, and this monster attacks "STONESPLITTER ORC" fiercely. However it is unfortunate for "LIVING LAVA" that "STONESPLITTER ORC" has "Retaliate" ability. This is why when "LIVING LAVA" hit on this monster, "STONESPLITTER ORC" hits back as a revenge. And when "STONESPLITTER ORC" turn came, it hits again on "LIVING LAVA".

At round 2, opponent's "LIVING LAVA" is alive with only 2 health and "STONESPLITTER ORC" is alive with 4 health. This match could have ended in the first round if the monster "LIVING LAVA" didn't have the "Shield" ability. This ability reduces the damage from "STONESPLITTER ORC" double attack from 6 to 4. After "LIVING LAVA" hit on my monster "STONESPLITTER ORC", it was alive with only 1 health. But in the next attack "STONESPLITTER ORC" killed the last enemy monster "LIVING LAVA".

Is it worth using a "Retaliate" ability monster in a battle?
Yes, without a question it was worth using "Retaliate" ability monster in this battle. Without the double attack in first round, I couldn't won this battle.
