Even in the category of "glass cannon," there are matters of degree. The Arcadian flying torpedo boat, which I shared a week ago, is a howitzer made of borosilicate (best known by the brand name "Pyrex"). By contrast, the Alexandrian model is a culverin made of fine crystal.

Despite the image that might come to mind from that description, this particular airship is not quite as elegant as earlier (and larger) Alexandrian designs. This is a little bit reminiscent of the very first flying machine I ever designed that I could call a "heavy airship" (translation note: this is also the reason I invented the word "кораблёт"). Within the context of my fictional world, the various designs are so different because the shipbuilders are different.

Here are two screenshots of the three Alexandrian airships made so far. Both screenshots show the same formation, but one of the torpedo boats is hidden behind the smoke from the siege trireme in the first image.

Finally, here is a hypothetical battle between two flying torpedo boats and the Zaphnora. I tried to add more models in order to make a preview of the massive aerial battle between the Northern Coalition (Alexandria and Bulmut) and Chaos, but my program kept freezing.

I feel like if you had to fight against one of these things your best bet would be to make sure it doesn't get off the ground/out of dock to begin with as it looks like it would take quite a while to get going O_O
Strategic thinking, I like it. The Karadenians tried to destroy the Zaphnora's sister ship with bombers before it was even completed, but they were a wee bit late. I might revisit that project when I have some more items made, and see if I can tell the story better with some more visuals.
Hmmm, steampunk warships... 😊
