When it comes to talk about Indian sweets Gulab Jamun is the next preferable item beside Rasgulla. Both of them are sugar dipped and most favored among Indians. Every sweet shop in India must have both the item, to pull customers to their shop, however their are very few who got specializes in their taste. While White Rasagulla is very popular, and can be found easily, The Black coloured Gulab Jamun is not far behind.
There is one place in my area 50 km away from home which get popularity because of their Gulab Jamun and today I got a chance to get to their shop.
The shop is located along the highway in between jungle areas. Because of its popularity, the shop now has a bigger outlet, than the old one. The shop is now owned and called as Sri Prashant Ji- Gulab Jamun Wale
The area is very clean, and well maintained, as I reached thir early hours, so I don't see much rush. Interestingly the area too have similar outlet on the other side of the road. Very similar and very difficult to identify the original one.
As you will notice each of them have mention Gulab Jamun, this is the craze of this Indian sweets. Being on the highway, you may find vehicles stopping thereby, to rest and to refresh with some mouth warming sweet item.
Lets come to our standpoint. The counter is full of different sweet item. Each of the milkmade very mouthwatering. Simply being an Indian, you can't get away without tasting each of them.
The top shelf is full of packaged item. That is ever ready to take away. Those who were in hurry, simply ask for any and get away easily.
These White balls were the Rasgulla, while the Brown one is too Rasgulla, but made up of Jaggery. Both of them very soft and spongy.
These little square balls were too sweet item. Kind of chocolate balls which can be easily consumed. The glass shelf were full of different sweets items each of them nicely decorated and well designed to woo the customers.
Argggg.... seems I am straying away, from our focus of savoring Gulab Jamun, not my fault looking at all those items, simple I can not resist. Anyhow, such set up is very common among all the Indian sweets shop, but finally, after looking all of them, we ordered Gulab Jamun and we were served in a disposable plate.
Umm... as it was said these were rightly been made with so much care. It has amazing taste which I never tasted before. Very soft, very delicate, it just melts in our mouth.
It is not wrong to say, the place is really popular only because of the taste. I had so many before but no one tasted like this. I simply enjoyed another plate of it . Savoring them warm on cool morning, simply made my day very special.
I eventually stopped eating after eating 1 more plates and moved ahead to my destination. Simply the place does got some speciality and I get some sweet memory.
Gulab Jamun looks different and delicious - may be they prepare in some different way - not the typical ones, we prepare.
They were quite tasty and sweet....indeed actually they should be called as Kaala Jamun because of its different colour not like the light brown that are available

More importantly this shopnis like a roadside motel on the highway....generally in India, such restaurant offer different food item but this particular place is famous for its sweet... you just check it out ..and indeed do taste as well....
Thanks for thr support...:)
Most definitely will ask my friend, she saves special sweets for me at special times of the year when they are traditionally made over here.
One thing I noticed over here is Indian's go super big or super small, strange but true, very seldom just sell one type of commodity too.
One place we always enjoy are the spice emporiums, so much selection one can get lost.
