Creo que me he perdido como tres de los concurso que han hecho, por una u otra razón no he podido participar... Este en particular me gusta mucho 😃 porque me hizo recordar cuánto mi mamá le cosía los pantalones a mi hermano o hacía sábanas con pedazos de distintas telas.
I think I've missed about three of the contests they've held, for one reason or another I haven't been able to participate... I really like this one in particular 😃 because it made me remember how much my mom sewed my brother's pants or made sheets with pieces of different fabrics.
Mi madre decía: esté hombre tendrá hojillas entre las piernas y en las rodillas, que era donde tenía qué coserle los parches...ahora creó qué si le pregunto a mí mamá que cuántos patchword hizo en su vida, porque si se lo nombre así, seguro me dirá que " que cosa eso" . " Remendar" esa era la palabra que usaba mi mamá cuando aplicaba la técnica del patchword, con pedacitos de tela. Lo cosía , por la parte del lado revés y otro por el derecho del pantalón o pieza a reparar.

Pero ahora con tanta información y videos podemos crear tantas cosas lindas, así como reparar o transformar lo que está roto, o dañado.

Podemos darle una segunda vida, reciclando alguna prenda. Haciendo este trabajo, recordé que cuando estudiaba en la universidad, hace 35 años tenía un pantalón que me gustaba mucho y de tanto usarlo, se dañó en algunas partes, pero me reusaba a tirarlo. Para ese tiempo mi hermana trabajaba en una fábrica de ropa y siempre le traía retazos de telas a mi mamá, así que escogí unos pequeños retazos con figuras, dándoles diversas formas y las cosi en varias partes del pantalón.
We can give it a second life, recycling some garment. Doing this work, I remembered that when I was studying at the university, 35 years ago I had a pair of pants that I liked a lot and from wearing it so much, it got damaged in some parts, but I refused to throw it away. At that time, my sister worked in a clothing factory and always brought scraps of fabric to my mother, so I chose some small scraps with figures, giving them different shapes and sewing them in various parts of the pants.
Bueno en ese tiempo me gustó mucho y que además lo hice personalizado, aparte de que me duró un tiempo largo.
Well at that time I liked it a lot and I also made it personalized, apart from the fact that it lasted a long time.
Ahora ya de abuelita 🤣 cuando me toca coserle un parche a alguna ropita de mis amores las hago con corazones o con alguna figura que a ellos les guste ( bueno hago el intento porque no soy costurera y que sea fácil de hacer.
Now as a granny 🤣 when I have to sew a patch to some of my loves' clothes I do them with hearts or with some figure that they like (well I'll try because I'm not a seamstress and it's easy to do.
Había una pequeña bolsa que estaba dañada ( rota porque le desprendieron la figura y ya después no la pudieron usar) así que decidí repararla y darle una nueva vida, con otra imagen.
There was a small bag that was damaged (broken because the figure came off and they couldn't use it later) so I decided to repair it and give it a new life, with another image.
Para hacerla use los siguientes materiales:
- La bolsita dañada en una de sus partes.
- Varios pedazos de telas de diferentes colores y texturas.
- Tijera, agujas e hilos.
- Hoja de papel y lápiz, para el molde.
- Dos botones, uno verde y rojo que serían la nariz de la cebra.
To make it use the following materials:
- The bag damaged in one of its parts.
- Several pieces of cloth of different colors and textures.
- Scissors, needles and threads.
- Sheet of paper and pencil, for the mold.
- Two buttons, one green and one red that would be the nose of the zebra.
Pasos:
Steps:
- Lo primero que hice fue el molde con la figura de la cebra, y del tamaño necesario para tapar lo dañado de la bolsa.
- The first thing I made was the mold with the figure of the zebra, and the size necessary to cover the damage of the bag
- Después lo recorte y fui marcando lo en las telas, para después cortarlos.
- Then I cut it out and marked it on the fabrics, to later cut them.
- Pero antes con los moldes en papel lo fui colocando en la parte de la bolsa, para ver cómo quedaría.
- But before with the paper molds I was placing it in the part of the bag, to see how it would look.
- Una vez teniendo todas las partes recortadas en las diferentes telas...comencé a coser.
- Once I had all the parts cut out in the different fabrics... I started to sew.
- Comenzando por las orejas que la conforman dos partes una grande y otra más pequeña.
- Starting with the ears that make up two parts, one large and one smaller.
- Luego empecé a coser por una parte de cara, incluyendo las marcas de la cebra.
- Then I started to sew on one part of the face, including the zebra marks.
- Coloqué un cuaderno dentro, antes de comenzar a coser por todo el borde de la figura para separar las partes y no fuera coser también la parte posterior de la bolsa.
- I placed a notebook inside, before starting to sew around the edge of the figure to separate the parts and not also sew the back of the bag.
Por último cosi los ojos y los botones . Además en dos de las puntas le coloque un roseton marrón , el cual lo hice con un pedacito de tela que corte en circulo y le hice dos cortes de medio círculos para que me salieran esos rosetones.
Finally I sewed the eyes and the buttons. Also, on two of the ends I placed a brown rosette, which I did with a piece of fabric that I cut in a circle and I made two half-circle cuts so that those rosettes would come out.
Quedando así está restauración usando la técnica del patchword en esa pequeña bolsa, adornada con esta tierna cebra verde.
This is how it is restored using the patchword technique in that small bag, adorned with this cute green zebra.

PD:. Sabía que algo me faltaba 😂 y después de tener listo todo para publicar, me doy cuenta que a la cebrale faltaba la boca... pero ya no se la podía hacer, porque tan pronto la termine y después de tomarle las fotos. Llegó una amiguita de visita y se enamoró de mí bolsita y se la llevó... así que la pobre cebra se publicó sin su linda 😊 sonrisa.
D:. I knew I was missing something 😂 and after having everything ready to publish, I realized that the mouth of the zebra was missing... but I couldn't do it anymore, because as soon as I finished it and after taking the photos. A little friend came to visit and fell in love with my little bag and took it... so the poor zebra was published without her cute 😊 smile.
