Many things came to my mind to inspire me with this design. At first I wanted to make a drawing of Candy Candy in my own style, but then I decided to make a unique design that I kept modifying, modifying until I felt comfortable and happy with it.
In the end I decided to dress her with stripes, one of the outfits similar to the ones Candy Candy herself wears, I also remembered that in the 80's and 90's it was still customary to dress the girls with long and armed outfits with big bows and I liked them very much, they were adorable, but I don't know why I feel you have British features or maybe it's just me.
Fashion has changed, and with it perhaps the tastes of the girls, those dresses of this style are no longer seen (at least in my country) I think that the current fashion is not very appropriate for girls of a certain age, tight clothes, simulating or copying styles of adult women makes them lose the innocence and tenderness with which they should look. Now they even wear make-up.
I didn't have females, I only have two sons, I always wished I had one to have that little version, that replica of me, to be able to comb her long hair and dress her always cute. I think I would have been an overprotective mother with her, maybe that's one of the reasons why I only draw girls, among other things, they are more tender and it's like dressing and playing with dolls, so as long as I draw, I will be eternally a girl, although it wasn't always fun to draw since my beginnings cost a lot and it was frustrating, but I don't give up.
I'm a big fan of the big bows, I think I should practice them more, I always have that feeling that I wish they had been more armed.
Not everything is perfect, because when I get to the shoes it seems that I enter Guyana esequiba "zone in claim" is a popular Venezuelan saying that alludes when something is missing or does not match the rest of what is done, usually my mother said (being Portuguese migrant which Venezuela adopted) that if she cleaned the house the bathroom was not of the same owner, because she left it to clean, it's kind of funny. I don't miss the opportunity to show you how my piece would look like printed on a children's garment, and I chose a coat for the cold because I considered it more appropriate for the design, maybe they are more beautiful in sleeping pants as well.

Muchas cosas llegaron a mi mente para inspirarme con este diseño. Al principio quería hacer un dibujo de Candy Candy a mi estilo, pero luego me decidí por hacer un diseño único al que fui modificando, modificando hasta llegar a sentirme cómoda y conforme con él.
Al final decidí vestirla con rayas, uno de los trajes parecidos a los que usa la misma Candy Candy, también recordé mucho que en la década de los 80-90 aún se acostumbraba a vestir a las niñas con largos y armados trajes con grandes lazos y me gustaban mucho, eran adorables, pero no se por qué siento que tienes rasgos británicos o serán cosas mías.
La moda ha cambiado, con ello quizá los gustos de las niñas, esos vestidos de este estilo ya no se ven (al menos en mi país) pienso que la moda actual no es muy apropiada para las niñas de cierta edad, ropa ajustada, simulando o copiando estilos de mujer adulta hace que pierdan la inocencia y ternura con la que deberían verse. Ahora hasta las maquillan.
No tuve hembras, solo tengo dos hijos varones, siempre deseé tener una para tener esa pequeña versión, esa réplica de mí, poder peinarle sus largos cabellos y vestirla siempre cute. Creo que hubiera sido una madre exageradamente sobreprotectora con ella, tal vez es una de las razones por las que solo dibujo niñas, entre otras cosas pues, son más tiernas y es como vestir y jugar con muñecas, por lo cual mientras dibuje, seré eternamente niña, aunque no siempre fue divertido dibujar puesto que mis comienzos costaron mucho y era algo frustrante, pero no me rindo.
Soy muy fan de los lazos grandes, creo que debería practicarlos más, siempre quedo con esa sensación que hubiera deseado fueran más armados.
No todo es perfecto, pues cuando llego a los zapatos parece que entro en Guyana esequiba "zona en reclamación" es un dicho popular venezolano que alude cuando algo falta por hacer o no combina con el resto de lo hecho, por lo general mi madre decía (siendo portuguesa migrante la cual Venezuela adoptó) que si limpiaba la casa el baño no era del mismo dueño, pues lo dejaba por limpiar, es algo gracioso. otros dichos alusivos a este tema son: "Barrer por donde pasa la reina" donde quedan lugares obviamente sin limpiar y que por lo general producen esa ruptura de la armonía donde "algo no encaja bien o algo falta"
En este sentido, los zapatos distorsionan, pero si seguía el estilo "chibi" esos zapatos básicos sin color y que constan de una línea como que no terminan de agradarme, tal vez porque no me salen.
Yo no pierdo la oportunidad de mostrarles, cómo se vería mi pieza impresa en una prenda de vestir infantil, y elegí un abrigo para el frío pues lo consideré más apropiado para el diseño, tal vez queden más hermosos en baticas para dormir también.

Para un artista siempre habrá eso que nos haga "Clic" y motive nuestra creatividad, fíjense que comencé con un pensamiento y terminé haciendo lo opuesto a él.
Pero sin lugar a dudas lleva mi sello, mi marca y mi estilo.
Respondiendo la pregunta de uno de mis seguidores, por qué ya no pongo mis diseños en venta en NFT sencillamente porque no se mueven, no los compran, pero basta conque lo ponga en descargas gratuitas y explotan en una hora lo cual me deja en desconcierto y frustración.

Si fuera por eso desearía se parecieran más a La Gioconda o cualquier realismo, ¡Jajaja! pero estamos claro que mi estilo es caricatura.
Como sea, imagino que dentro de mi cestica voy preparada para un picnic y llevo cositas dulces y ricas dentro de ella, vamos que puedo compartirlas contigo.
Lulú - Candy Candy - Dora
Since the review of my Youtube channel recommended me that if I wanted to monetize my art I didn't fit in that line and I would have little chance of reaching the requirements, I decided to stop recording myself while drawing, which relaxes me and allows me to take my time for it, since a design takes many hours, I usually take breaks and the editing of them is heavy, so that no one sees them? It is also hard. Drawing without any pressure has led me to a remarkable improvement.
Sketch: As when you have a tangle of thoughts and do not know where to start, the ideal is to start with the head with geometric figures then the body in pear shape depending on the occasion and posture. It's a lot of strokes usually take me several layers but as I progress I discard them to not make it so confusing.
Base color: I had the color red very clear in mind for the dress, the strawberries and the shades, but halfway through the design they started to clash. The base color is done in a way that doesn't require the use of line art, and has layers inside different folders for each color.
Desde que en la revisión de mi canal Youtube me recomendaron que si quería monetizar mi arte no entraba en ese renglón y tendría pocas posibilidades de alcanzar los requisitos, decidí dejar de grabarme mientras dibujo, lo cual me relaja y me permite tomarme mi tiempo para ello, ya que un diseño se llevan muchas horas, generalmente tomo pausas y la edición de los mismos es pesada, ¿Para que nadie los vea? También es duro. Dibujar sin presión alguna me ha llevado a una notable mejoría.
Boceto: Como cuando tienes un enredo de pensamientos y no sabes por donde empezar, lo ideal es comenzar por la cabeza con figuras geométricas luego el cuerpo en forma de pera según la ocasión y postura. Son muchos trazos generalmente me llevan varias capas pero a medida que avanzo voy descartando para no hacerlo tan confuso.
Color base: Tenía el color rojo muy claro en mente para el vestido, las fresas y las tonalidades, pero a mitad de diseño comenzaron a chocar. El color base lo hago de la forma que no requiera el uso de line art, y lleva capas dentro de carpetas diferentes para cada color.
Sometimes I get too excited drawing and I forget to save the progress for the step by step.
Background details: the gradient is achieved using the "gradient" tool to which we apply two contrasting tones and for the texture we use the spray brush. For the strawberries we can use the Strawberry brush and on the floor I used the round feather brush. To avoid it looking flat I used the same brush to give shading around the doll.
Details of the dress: using the same brush to give shadows and highlights as well as the strawberry vine details on the basket with the Strawberry brush.
Skin shading: we position ourselves on the respective color layer and open the upper layers applying the clipping option.
A veces me emociono mucho dibujando y se me olvida guardar los progresos para el paso a paso.
Detalles del fondo: el degradado lo logramos usando la herramienta "degradado" a la que aplicamos dos tonos contraste y para la textura el pincel pulverización. Para las fresas podemos usar el pincel Strawberry y en el piso he usado el pincel Pluma redonda. para evitar se vea plano he usado el mismo pincel para dar sombreado al rededor de la muñequita.
Detalles del vestido: usando el mismo pincel para dar sombras y luces además de los detalles de enredadera de fresas en la cesta con el pincel Strawberry.
Sombreado de piel: nos posicionamos en la capa de color respectivo y vamos abriendo capas superiores aplicando la opción recorte.
Hair: The brushes used are airbrush, spray and Ink pen, there we are adding the details and hair strands.
Eyes: big and expressive, very simple kawaii-chibi. depending on the pose we can make one and then copy it, paste it and invert it, that will make them neat.
To finish I added additional details with the text tool, some strawberries and lights.

Cabello: Los pinceles usados son aerógrafo, pulverización y Pluma tinta, allí vamos agregando los detalles y las hebras de cabello.
Ojos: grandes y expresivos, muy sencillos kawaii-chibi. dependiendo de la pose podemos hacer uno y luego copiarlo, pegarlo e invertirlo, eso hará que queden prolijos.
Para finalizar agregué detalles adicionales con la herramienta texto, algunas fresas y luces.

Te quedó bien bonito este dibujo. Siempre me llama la atención que nos haces un cuento de todo lo que te inspira para hacer tus dibujos. Yo siempre me extiendo menos y casi siempre me concentro más en el paso a paso. Querido Gabo muchisimas gracias por valorar mi dibujo. Ya estoy por decir algo que me dijo un artista, es que decir mucho lo del paso a paso, como es lo mismo de siempre suena muy repetitivo. Es por eso.
