Somos una mezcla de emociones, todas inmersas en nuestro ser, saliendo de vez en cuando. Algunas nos abrazan y otras nos desploman, pueden hacernos sentir en las nubes o dejarnos caer de imprevisto, todas y cada una de ellas forman parte de nuestro aprendizaje diario como seres humanos.
We are a mixture of emotions, all immersed in our being, coming out from time to time. Some embrace us and others bring us down, they can make us feel on cloud nine or drop us unexpectedly, but each and every one of them is part of our daily learning as human beings.
Autocontrolarse en aquellas que generan malestar no suele ser muy fácil y no dejarnos desbordar por otras que nos causan mucho bienestar tampoco lo es, necesitamos aprender a hacerlo si queremos mantener mejores relaciones con aquellos que nos rodean y también para mejorar nuestra relación con nosotros mismos. Se dice fácil pero a veces no lo es, es que así es la vida, un camino lleno de constantes momentos de sabiduría. Queda en nuestras manos aprender, tomar cada emoción y extraer lo positivo de ella por más pequeño que sea.
Self-controlling ourselves in those that generate discomfort is not usually very easy and not letting ourselves be overwhelmed by others that cause us a lot of well-being is not easy either, but we need to learn to do them in order to maintain better relationships with those around us and also to improve our relationship with ourselves. It is said to be easy but sometimes it is not, it is that this is life, a path full of constant moments of wisdom, it is in our hands to learn, to take each emotion and extract the positive from it, no matter how small it may be.
Inspirada en estos pensamientos empecé a dibujar a este trío de chicas, cada una significa una emoción para mí. Empezando por la tristeza, pasando por la alegría y siguiendo hasta llegar a la sorpresa. Emociones que me visitan y que seguro también te visitan a ti como ser humano que eres, no hay que negarlas tan solo saber manejarlas- Cada día estoy trabajando en eso aunque a veces me salga del camino y sea un jinete que no controla bien al corcel, sigo intentandolo ¿y tú?
Inspired by these thoughts I started to draw this trio of girls, each one means emotion to me. Starting with sadness, going through joy, and continue to surprise. Emotions that visit me and that surely also come to you as the human being that you are, there is no need to deny them just know how to handle them, every day I'm working on that even if sometimes I get out of the way and I'm a rider who does not control the steed well, I keep trying, how about you?
Ahora quiero mostrarte algunos de los pasos que di para realizar este dibujo. ¡Vamos a dibujar!
Now I want to show you some of the steps I took to make this drawing, let's draw!
¿Cómo lo hice? How did I do?
- Realicé tres bocetos a mano alzada usando un lápiz gráfico, ya tenía en mente dibujar tres chicas para plasmar un trío de emociones. Usé el pincel pluma(tinta) con un ancho de 13.1 px. Lienzo (21 cm x 29.7 cm/600 dpi).
I made three freehand sketches using a graphic pencil, I already had in mind to draw three girls to capture a trio of emotions. I used the pen(ink) brush with a width of 13.1 px. Canvas (21 cm x 29.7 cm/600 dpi).
- Fui añadiendo algo más de detalles como su cabello y unas marcas para posicionar los ojos.
I added some more details like her hair and some marks to position the eyes.
- Hice el line art usando el pincel pluma(tinta) con un ancho de 13.1 px, para las expresiones tomé en cuenta que la posición de las cejas es muy importante, ayudan a expresar las emociones. Les comento que en un inicio hice el line art tanto del ojo derecho como del izquierdo a mano alzada, sin embargo no tenían una proporción parecida, así que preferí duplicar un ojo para mantener un poco más la proporción.
I made the line art using the brush feather(ink) with a width of 13.1 px, for the expressions I took into account that the position of the eyebrows is very important, they help to express the emotions. I comment that at the beginning I made the line art both the right eye and the left eye freehand, however, they didn't have a similar proportion, so I preferred to duplicate an eye maintaining a little more proportion.
- Para dibujar la piel primero tomé un color de fondo vibrante: rosa, morado y verde. Si se fijan mi paleta de colores tiene muchos colores (No hagan esto en casa jaja), la idea es tomar solo 3 tonos para dibujar la piel, para empezar, pero aún me cuesta seleccionar pocos colores, así que fui probando cual quedaba mejor. Para matizar las pieles usé un pincel mezclador. Añadí más detalles a sus ojos, necesitaba captar sus miradas. También fui añadiendo unos pequeños puntos blancos en ciertas áreas a modo de "brillos". Y así iban quedando.
To draw the skin I first took a vibrant background color: pink, purple, and green. If you notice my color palette has a lot of colors (Don't do this at home haha), the idea is to take only 3 tones to draw the skin, at least to start with, but it's still hard for me to select few colors, so I was testing which one looked better. To shade the skins I used a blending brush. I added more details to their eyes, I needed to capture their looks. I also added some small white dots in certain areas as "highlights". And that's what they looked like.
- En este punto le di color al cabello con la herramienta pincel pluma (tinta) y seguí dando matices a la piel usando varios colores y el pincel mezclador. Coloque más detalles como el color labios y la parte oscura de la boca de la chica sorprendida y el fondo de los ojos. Añadí algunas luces al rostro, sombras más oscuras creado otras capas, para la sombra más oscura hice uso del aerógrafo, añadí una luces y sombras a los cabellos.
At this point I colored the hair with the feather brush tool (ink) and continued giving shades to the skin using various colors and the blender brush. I placed more details like the lip color and the dark part of the mouth of the surprised girl and the bottom of the eyes. I added some highlights to the face, darker shadows created other layers, for the darkest shadow I made use of the airbrush, and added some highlights and shadows to the hair.

- Coloque distintos colores de fondo a cada una de ellas pues considero que así resaltan un poco más los detalles. Añadí una nueva firma- He estado practicando un poco la caligrafía con la tabla, me cuesta bastante aún. También añadí la palabra: Emotions, como ven en la foto de portada, fue una práctica adicional de caligrafía.
I put different background colors to each one of them because I think that way the details stand out a little more. I added a new signature - I've been practicing a bit with the calligraphy on the board, I'm still having a hard time with it. I also added the word: Emotions, as you can see in the cover photo, it was an additional calligraphy practice.
Me gustó bastante el resultado de este trío de chicas cada una con una expresión que define una emoción para mi, puede que las veas diferente, es válido.

I started drawing with the mouse but it was much more difficult, this year I bought a small board that has helped me to make better strokes. I would like to take a hand drawing course, it would be great :)

Soy admirador de Beeple por la técnica -sus dibujos son muy crudos en ocasiones- y a veces expone temas que ausstan por lo reales, pero para mí, el arte digital debe ser trabjado, mucho y se le invierte mucho tiempo.

Sabes que me encantado mucho cada expresión la ilustraste con perfección. Me encanta tu originalidad y que te expresas a través de tus diseños, los cuales tienen una razón, un porqué desde el fondo de tu ser, esto permite que el espectador logre conectarse con el artista y lógicamente con el diseño, esto es lo que les digo a muchos dibujantes cuando presentan sus proyectos, pero muchos no hacen caso. Contar la experiencia y aquello que te inspira siempre es importante para poder llegar más allá en quienes nos ven.
Me llamo la atención el tamaño del lienzo que usas, es pequeñito, no te incomoda? imaginate yo trabajo siempre con estas caracteristicas para evitar se pixelen, sin embargo no veo pixelado alguno en tu diseño, será que tengo que bajarle el tamaño? me habian pedido una vez que los trabajara asi para que pudieran imprimirlo en un pendón de un metro sin que se pixelara tanto, aunque sabemos que evitar el pixelado en Medibang es imposible ya que trabaja en esa función pixelada. te dejo un capture de mis medidas.
Gracias por la sugerencia Isa, voy a probar con ese tamaño. Aún no he llevado ninguno de estos diseños a imprimir para ver si se pixelan (ups espero que no) voy a tener que intentarlo a ver.
No me he sentido incómoda dibujando en ese lienzo, me han costado más los trazos largos, a veces dibujo y luego amplio la imagen. Siento que hasta ahora no he muy productiva con los dibujos porque me cuestan los temas que me inspiren a dibujar, espero mejorar en eso.

Dependiendo de los recursos que tenga tu pc, a medida que le subes puede que te laguee, ese es el detalle.

Emotions sure are interesting, sometimes hard to control and sometimes unwanted - but, I think sometimes they can be a sign too, a sign to make a change :) also, I think we have a choice when it comes to positivity - even if we are having hard times, there is always a chance to enhance our positivity!
When I went through a troubling time, I spend a lot of time alone and in nature - it really helps me to collect my thoughts :) everyone has different methods!
Anyway, I hope to see more of your drawings and artwork - loved these! I hope you're having a great week so far :)
