Hello Hive DIY friends! I hope you are very well today ❤️. Finally today, after so much procrastination and procrastination, I got down to work on the new winter collection of my dog pets. Last year, when I still didn't have my sewing machine and had a lot of free time in my quarantine, I made them some suits like these but entirely hand-sewn. This year, the task was quite easy for me so it took half the time or maybe less to do them 😂.

Finalmente hoy, después de tanto procrastinar y procrastinar, puse manos a la obra en la nueva colección de invierno de mis mascotas perrunas. El año pasado, cuando aún no tenía mi máquina de coser y tenía mucho tiempo libre en la cuarentena me había tomado el trabajo de hacerle unos trajes como estos pero enteramente cosidos a mano. Este año, la tarea se me facilitó bastante así que para hacerlos tardé la mitad del tiempo o quizás menos 😂.
In my house there are three dogs: two are big and then there is my little dog that they have already seen in this post. That is why to assemble these costumes I needed two different sizes of molds. Luckily, I got a page where they gave them away in various sizes. You can download them for free from here 😃.
En mi casa hay tres perros: dos son de tamaño grande y luego esta mi pequeña perrita que ya han visto en este post. Es por eso que para armar estos trajes necesitaba dos tamaños diferentes de moldes. The fabrics that I used were different pieces that I had in storage or some sweaters that we no longer use. The purple fabric was from a vest so I cut it so that the zip pockets are preserved. I don't think my dog needs them but it seemed like a good idea 😂.
Las telas que usé fueron distintos retazos que tenía guardados o algunos sweaters que ya no usamos. La tela violeta era de un chaleco, por lo que lo corté de modo que se conserven los bolsillos con cierre. No creo que mi perra los necesite pero me pareció buena idea 😂.

The making of these suits is really simple: I just faced the fabrics and joined with a straight stitch the shoulders and the sides of the garment.
La confección de estos trajes es realmente simple: solo enfrenté las telas y uní con puntada recta los hombros y los laterales de la prenda.

The purple fabric was a bit thicker fleece and in some places the original hem was preserved, so it was a bit tall to go through the machine. This I had to do by turning the handwheel manually to take care that the needle did not break.
La tela violeta era un polar un poco más grueso y en algunas partes se conservaba el dobladillo original, por lo que era un poco alto para pasar por la máquina. Esto lo tuve que hacer girando el volante manualmente para cuidar que la aguja no se rompiera.

The suit that gave me the most work was the smallest. As it was patchwork, I first had to join the back pieces. Then I had to hem all the edges, as unlike previous fabrics, these did fray.
El traje que me dio más trabajo fue el más pequeño. Al ser de retazos primero tuve que unir las piezas de la espalda. Luego, tuve que hacer dobladillos en todos los bordes, ya que a diferencia de las telas anteriores, estas sí se deshilachaban.

Doing all of this took me less than an hour. Last year to make the same three costumes it had taken almost half the day. This is the great thing about having a machine, I love it. Ultimately, this was the end result of the little vests ❤️.

When I put their vest on each of them felt strange. They are obviously not used to having clothes but they don't take them off anyway. I always say that the most beautiful part of winter is seeing the dressed pets, well, now they too joined this trend ❤️.
Cuando le puse su chaleco a cada uno se sentían extraños. Obviamente no estn acostumbrados a tener ropa pero de todos modos no se la quitan. Siempre digo que la parte más linda del invierno es ver a las mascotas vestidas, bueno, ahora ellos también se sumaron a esta tendencia ❤️.
