The first one I looked for coconut shells at the shop where the spices were made because there were so many coconut shells that were just thrown away.
The coconut shells that are needed, especially prepare 4 coconut shells that are still intact or that have not been split, and some coconut shells that have been split.
how to choose a suitable coconut shell for making decorative flower pots, look for a really old shell or it could be by looking at the color of the shell, the old coconut shell is black and a little shiny.
because old coconuts are very suitable, starting from the moment they are given varnish or what is called wood varnish, which is easy and not easily broken when cutting and durable.
and the tools needed are:
grinding machine, to cut the top and bottom of a whole coconut shell
small saw : or a saw commonly used to cut iron memotong
sandpaper/sand paper: its function is to smooth the rough shell so that it is smooth and facilitates the finishing process.
Korean glue functions as an adhesive for pieces of shell or to connect them to each other
Wood varnish Its function is to improve aesthetics and protect coconut shells.
after all the ingredients are there and the shell has been cut according to the needs,
then unite all the pieces using Korean glue, after all the pieces are glued, wait 10 minutes for the glue to dry completely.
after the glue dries perfectly then paint the shell using varnish or wood polish up to 4 times in order to get the perfect gloss.
this is the result of the above methods, you can also use other plants,
but look for plants that don't need too much water, because no matter how often coconut shells are exposed to water, they will become brittle.
