To impart knowledge is good but most importantly, while imparting such knowledge, a quality is required of you. Which quality is that? Which comes into your mind? I know, many and various qualities may flash your mind. Nevertheless, am here to give you the ESPO. Don't you think that "humility" is the required quality? But you may wonder or ask "why?".

Honestly, it takes humility irrespective of one's qualifications to lower himself or herself just to acquire knowledge from his or her mates, contemporaries, students etc. Also, let's remember that learning and acquiring of new skills are basic things of life which one can't run away from. So to speak, I would define learning of different skills in life as a study of no graduation. Yes, irrespective of your age or qualifications, you must keep on learning new things of life. No one has all the knowledge.

Since I joined hive, I've been publishing and posting different contents and careless to learn from others. But, few days ago, I made it a priority to learn from other hive content creators. The fact is that I love and like artworks. Therefore, I decided to check on this sweet art community known as "#hive diy"

While checking quality posts made in this platform, I found one that caught my fancy and out of enthusiasm, I vowed to practice it. The artwork was created by @rosana6, She showed us how to make windmill and candle holder . After checking the processes, I told her through a comment under the post that I must practice it. Though, she showed us double artwork, but, I decided to practice one of them which is "candle holder".

Hahaha, 🤣🤣😂, don't laugh at me oo. Remember, am just a student trying to copy the footstep of my teacher. So, even if you laugh at me, am proud of myself. Now, below 👇 are the steps I followed as shown by her in that post.

I gathered all the basic tools needed for the construction:

  • Empty recycling container

  • scissors (It served as cutter)

  • crayon ( it served as marker)

  • Black tape

  • ruler

The process in action

  • First, I mapped out the cutting limit edge with the help of black tape

IMG_20230130_173805_644.jpg

  • Secondly, I draw vertical line around it with the help of my ruler and crayon with a space of 2cm measurement each.

  • Thirdly: Since I don't have cutter, I dished out an idea. I gave it some punch under each line, after, i used scissors ✂️ in cutting it following the marked lines.

  • Fourthly: I peeled off the coated film I made earlier.

  • Fifth: I pressed it downward ⬇️ until the ends meets. Hahaha, "I've made an ends meets".

  • Sixth: I held it for few minutes. When I loosed it, below is the look

I think, I got it.

  • Lastly, I placed and light up candle🕯️ inside it. Wooow, it's amazingly beautiful

@rosana6, thanks 👍 for displaying such artwork here. But, the thing nearly wound me when I tried pushing out the edges with bare hand just as you did. That's why I decided to hold the ends together for a while and it worked. People around me was amazed last night when I light up candle 🕯️ inside it. The splendor was splendid indeed. Hahaha 🤣🤣😂😂.

Do you know that even when I kept it outdoors, breeze was not able to quench the fire! I really love this my new and latest skill. @rosana6, thanks once more. You're now my teacher.
