BEHELIT CARMESÍ | BERSERK FAN-ART (THE EGG OF THE KING) [ENG/ESP]

These last few years in which I have been developing my artistic career, I have been dabbling in different branches of the plastic arts to be able to form a very versatile and diverse creative ingenuity. On this occasion I have come to share my experience carving a small wooden sculpture; Carving is really a job that requires a lot of dedication and patience, in the past I had already carved small things, but they did not require many aesthetic details. This time the challenge was much greater, since I chose to make a specific figure with very relevant aesthetic details that would make it resemble the reference I was using.
Estos últimos años en los que he venido desarrollando mí carrera artística he estado incursionando en diferentes ramas de las artes plásticas para poder formar un ingenio creativo muy versátil y diverso, en esta ocasión he venido a compartir mí experiencia tallando una pequeña escultura en madera; tallar es realmente una labor que requiere de mucha dedicación y paciencia, en el pasado ya había tallado pequeñas cosas, pero que no requerían de muchos detalles estéticos. En esta oportunidad el reto fue mucho mayor, ya que elegí hacer una figura específica con detalles estéticos muy relevantes que harían asemejarse a la referencia que estaba utilizando.
Since I had no tools that would help me to carve, I had to make a homemade one, I used the blade of a knife 🔪 that had damaged the handle and with a piece of polyester and black teipe I was able to create a small blade to carve the wood, I took a bit of edge to the blade and it was perfect for the job 😁.
Como no tenía herramientas que me sirvieran para tallar, tuve que fabricar una casera, utilice la hoja de un cuchillo 🔪 que se le había dañado la empuñadura y con un trozo de poliéster y teipe negro pude crear una pequeña cuchilla para tallar la madera, le saque un poco de filo a la hoja y quedo perfecta para el trabajo 😁.
I used a small rectangular piece of wood 8cm x 6cm square; what kind of wood it was, I have no idea 😅. The first thing I did was draw a sketch of the figure that he was going to make on all the faces of the wooden rectangle, to use it as a guide and begin to carve little by little following the lines of the sketch.
Utilicé un pequeño pedazo de madera rectangular de 8cm x 6cm cuadrados; que tipo de madera era, no tengo idea 😅. Lo primero que hice fue dibujar un boceto de la figura que iba a realizar en todas las caras del rectángulo de madera, para usarlo de guía y comenzar a tallar poco a poco siguiendo las lineas del boceto.
Since I started my artistic research to improve my skills, I have always used anime as references to work on certain aspects that I considered not good, this time it was no exception, I also used an object that appears as a reference in a famous anime that since I saw it I said that I had to do something about that series 😋.
Desde que comencé mi investigación artística para ir mejorando mis habilidades, siempre he usado el anime como referencias para ir trabajando ciertos aspectos en los que he considerado que no era bueno, en esta oportunidad no fue la excepción, también use de referencia un objeto que aparece en un famoso anime que desde que lo ví dije que debía hacerme algo sobre esa serie 😋.
The anime is called Berserk, it's a very raw and bloody story, but I really loved that masterpiece, which unfortunately has not been finished, since its author passed away 😢; Although another mangaka is already taking up the project, I hope he doesn't damage the story. The object that I chose to represent is called "BEHELIT" (THE EGG OF THE KING), in history there are several types of behelit, but I chose the crimson behelit, it is the most powerful or the most important of all; Since the bearer of this behelit is destined for greatness, every 200 years the causalities of destiny choose a human who will carry the behelit to become a member of the hand of God (this is how the 5 beings who do not know if they call themselves They are gods or demons, but they have immense power and have control of the existential planes of reality).
El anime se llama Berserk es una historia muy cruda y sangrienta, pero me encantó mucho esa obra maestra, que lastimosamente no ha sido culminada, ya que su autor falleció 😢; aunque ya otro mangaka esta retomando el proyecto, espero que no dañe la historia. El objeto que elegí para representar se llama "BEHELIT" (EL HUEVO DEL REY), en la historia hay varios tipos de behelit, pero yo elegí el behelit carmesí, es el mas poderoso o el mas importante de todos; ya que el portador de este behelit esta destinado a l grandeza, cada 200 años las causalidades del destino eligen a un humano que portará el behelit para convertirse en un miembro de la mano de Dios (así se hacen llamar los 5 seres que no se saben si son dioses o demonios, pero tienen un inmenso poder y tienen control de los planos existenciales de la realidad).
After several weeks carving the piece, I managed to obtain the desired shape, now I had to remove the porosity that the wood has, I used a 2000 grade sandpaper to leave the small wooden egg with a very smooth texture that was pleasing to the eye and to the touch. In the anime, the bearer of the behelit was called Griffith he was a young man with great ability for combat and military strategy, little by little many renegade warriors joined his cause and he came to have a large army of more than Of 10,000 soldiers, their reputation grew so much that they reached a point where the kings hired them to fight their battles, the army was called "THE BAND OF THE HAWK" they were the most fearsome warriors in the world.
Despues de varias semana tallando la pieza, logré obtener la forma deseada, ahora tenía que quitarle la porosidad que tiene la madera, use una lija de grado 2000 para dejar el pequeño huevo de madera con una textura muy lisa y agradable a la vista y al tacto. En el animé el portador del behelit se llamaba Griffith era un joven con mucha habilidad para el combate y la estrategia militar, poco a poco a su causa se le fueron uniendo muchos guerreros renegados y llego a tener un gran ejército de mas de 10mil soldados, su reputación creció tanto que llego a un punto en el que los reyes los contrataban para combatir sus batallas, el ejército se llamaba "LA BANDA DEL HALCÓN" eran los guerreros más temibles de todo el mundo.
Then I went on to add the color, I had to do a specific shade of red, crimson red 🎨; I really don't know if I got the right tonality, but I made the mix as similar as possible 😋 and I painted it all. In the anime, although Griffith is the one chosen by the behelit, he is not the protagonist, the protagonist is a warrior named GUTS since he joined the band of the hawk, the army became invincible, guts was a warrior exceptional, he only killed 300 enemies, everyone feared him and Griffith had him as his right hand (it could be said that he had feelings for him); the day that guts decides to leave the band of the falcon to form his own destiny, Griffith falls into depression and mowed down by rage he commits a madness by sleeping with the daughter of the king who had hired him, then they locked him up in a dungeon and the army of the kingdom hunted the band of the falcon.
Despues pase a agregar el color, tenía que hacer una tonalidad de rojo específica, rojo carmesí 🎨; realmente no se si logré la tonalidad correcta, pero hice la mezcla lo mas parecida posible 😋 y lo pinte todo. En el anime aunque Griffith es el elegido por el behelit, no es el protagonista, el prota es un guerrero llamado GUTS desde que el se unió a la banda del halcón el ejército se volvió invencible, es que guts era un guerrero excepcional, él solo mataba a 300 enemigos, todo el mundo le temía y Griffith lo tenía como su mano derecha (se podría decir que tenía sentimientos hacía él); el día que guts decide dejar la banda del halcón para formar su propio destino, Griffith cae en depresión y segado por la rabia comete una locura al acostarse con la hija del rey que lo había contratado, después lo encerraron en un calabozo y el ejército del reino cazaron a la banda del halcón.

A year after guts had left the band of the falcon, he decides to make a trip again and on the way he meets what was left of the band that were hiding in a camp in the forest, of the 10 thousand only they remained about 100 men and the only woman who was part of the army was the one in command of them, (since guts had left, he did not know that Griffith had been locked up and that the vast majority of the band's warriors had been killed) when he met CASCA the woman who is now leading the gang, they team up to save Griffith; They managed to save him, but he was no longer the same, they had tortured him too much, they had cut his tendons and he could not even move his limbs and they had flayed the skin of his head.
Con la lámina magica que solo tengo yo aquí en mi casa 😅 realice unas pequeñas piezas que lleva de adornó el behelit, que asemeja a una pequeña corona 👑 se la instalé en la parte superior y le aplique pintura. Un año despues de que guts se había alejado de la banda del halcón, el decide hacer un viaje nuevamente y en el camino se encuentra con lo que quedaba de la banda que se estaban escondiendo en un campamento en el bosque, de los 10mil solo quedaban unos 100 hombre y la única mujer que formaba parte del ejército era la que estaba al mando de ellos, (como guts se había ido, no sabía que a Griffith lo habían encerrado y que habían asesinado a la gran mayoría de guerreros de la banda) cuando se encontró con CASCA la mujer que lideraba la banda ahora, se unen para salvar a Griffith; lo logran salvar, pero ya no era el mismo, lo habían torturado demasiado, le habían cortado los tendones ya no podía ni mover sus extremidades y le habían desollado la piel de la cabeza.

This was the result of a month of work, it really took me a long time to give the wood that ovoid shape, of course if I had a dremel I would do it in an instant 😅, I loved how it turned out, it really looks a lot like it, now I am the new carrier the crimson behelit, I am destined for GREATNESS 😎; I hope he likes this post, good vibes 🖖🏼.
Cuando tenían a Griffith encerrado había perdido el behelit, pero despues que lo rescataron, el behelit volvio nuevamente a él y en ese momento se cumple la profecía, aparecen los miembros de la mano de Dios que en ese momento eran solo 4 ya que Griffith se convertiría en el quinto, pero para hacerlo tenía que sacrificar algo muy preciado para él y sacrifico a los miembros de la banda del alcon que todavía quedaban vivos, los unicos que se salvaron fueron guts y casca ya que apareció un ser misterioso que los rescato antes de que los matarán (les recomiendo que vean el anime pata que puedan entender estas pequeñas cosas que he contado). Este fue el resultado de un mes de trabajo, de verdad me llevo bastante tiempo darle esa forma ovoide a la madera, claro si fuese tenido un dremel lo hago en un instante 😅, a mi me encanto como quedo, realmente se parece muchísimo, ahora soy el nuevo portador el behelit carmesí, estoy destinado a la GRANDEZA 😎; Espero que este post sea de su agrado, buenas vibras 🖖🏼.

Vaya te quedó increíble, prueba sellar el color con cera para nutrir la madera y hacerla más duradera
Gracias amiga 😃, me parece interesante ese metodo que me recomiendas para cuidar la madera, si había pensado en aplicar algun sellador como barniz, pero no sabía que con cera podía hacerlo 👌🏼 voy a intentarlo para ver cómo queda 😌

Lo bueno de hacer manualidades es que podemos crear con nuestras propias manos las cosas que nos gustan, como estas 😚.
