Hello Holotrainers!

This is a continuation of this post talking about the future timeline in my Holozing fan-lore, discussing a bit about how I think this alternate story will unfold. You can see where I left off in the post I'll link below:

If you follow my writings, thank you so much! Many of the things you tell me in the comments, like suggestions and things like that, motivate me a lot to continue. I think this particular story has a lot of potential.

I've tried my best to move away from the simple stories that the most popular IPs have accustomed us to, where there are encapsulated monsters. I'm looking for something more mature, still aimed at a young audience, but certainly something that invites reflection on more complex themes and doesn't leave us hanging.

Thinking Shadows and the Vials

In the previous post, we talked about how, after the extinction of the creatures in the future timeline, a database was created with capsules that, in a way, contained the creatures' information, as well as their personality and abilities. We can say that these are the VIALS, which contain the creatures in a strange space. They are still missing, but their essence is in the vials.

I want this whole story to have that aura of mystery, questions like, "Where are all these creatures?" I want the player to ask themselves that question after spending a considerable amount of time getting to know the holo-creatures, both in the past of this timeline and in the virtual world that humans have created to be able to see all these creatures again.

There are several characters involved in this timeline, in particular two protagonists and a set of villains or scientists that I feel would fit well with the story, and even better would be to include them in the game as a kind of mission where we learn a little more about why they are collecting this information and why it is important.

I have some plot twists in mind, but they are in a very early stage, as is this entire timeline. I only have that scenario where the creatures no longer exist, there is no trace of the Elemental Islands or the humans who previously knew how to interact with them.

Everything is a mystery, and I think that's a big part of the story's appeal. It's a world that has gone through trauma, and these traumas aren't immediately revealed, creating tension in the plot from the very beginning, something that is essential if we want this title to stand out from other similar games on the market.

In this way, the sentient shadows and the holographic creatures are part of that mechanism that gradually helps us understand a little more about where all these creatures are. Did they become extinct because of humankind? Or are they somewhere else? That's the million-dollar question, and in particular, it's the one I'll be racking my brain to answer.
