Have the joy and privilege of observing, even in the distance, the imposing and spectacular Cotopaxi volcano that is located on the Eastern Cordillera to the Northeast of Latacunga and to the Southeast of Quito Ecuador. Its beauty is very particular as it has a symmetrical cone shape with slopes and is always adorned with huge clouds above. In addition, the volcano is surrounded by moors that border it and by other volcanoes such as Sincholahua.
Cotopaxi is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world due to the frequency of its eruptions, its eruptive style, its relief, its glacial cover and the number of populations potentially exposed to its threats. The danger of Cotopaxi lies in the fact that its eruptions can give rise to the formation of enormous mud flows that would pass through neighboring drains to densely populated areas nearby.
