Looks like the Splinterlands servers have been upgraded because for the first time in ages, I was able to claim the rewards within an hour or so after the season ended. Silver I rewards means 18 chests. Did I get anything good?
1 Epic and 2 Rares. The rest of the cards can be ignored in my opinion. Djinn Renova and the Wavesmith are cards that I use often so leveling up might make sense at some point, although I really need to look into getting better summoners.
This season, I was able to get to Gold III based on ranks but the collection power held me back. Investing in summoners will do little to improve that because although they unlock a lot of ability in the cards, they don't do much in terms of collection power.
Perhaps a better idea would be to get gold foils and legendaries to earn even more chests.
