Llego con mis carcajadas, después de buscar corriendo las fotografías para ilustrar mi participación en este maravilloso Concurso y no quedarme por fuera. Y es que al verlas y recordar los momentos, volví a reírme como en aquel instante. Espero que ustedes puedan contagiarse tan solo con verlas ¡jajaja!
I arrive with my laughter, after looking for the pictures to illustrate my participation in this wonderful Contest and not to be left out. And when I saw them and remembered the moments, I laughed again as I did at that moment. I hope you can catch it just by looking at them, hahaha!
Todos los días encuentro motivos para sonreír y reír por algo, creo que, ciertamente, la risa es terapéutica, quien haya reído hasta las carcajadas sabe que luego de ese dolorcito que da en el estómago de tanto reír, viene una liviandad que es gratificante. Si yo les contara las veces que tuve que salir corriendo al baño después de un chiste, o una ocurrencia... bueno, no podría porque soy malísima para recordar chistes y chismes ¡jajaja! Me da por reírme antes de contarlos porque los escucho en mi cabeza y no aguanto la risa.
Every day I find reasons to smile and laugh for something, I believe that, certainly, laughter is therapeutic, those who have laughed until they burst into laughter know that after that little pain in the stomach from laughing so much, comes a lightness that is gratifying. If I were to tell you how many times I had to run to the bathroom after a joke or a witticism? Well, I couldn't because I'm terrible at remembering jokes and gossip, hahaha! I laugh before I tell them because I hear them in my head and I can't stand to laugh.
Mi esposo es el principal promotor de las risas en mi casa, pues él tiene tan buen humor que las veces que hemos discutido en estos casi 30 años, terminamos riéndonos de nosotros mismos. Él me dice que le encanta hacerme reír y escucharme, quien me conoce sabe que mis carcajadas son sonoras y contagiosas. A veces me da pena con los vecinos porque puedo comenzar a reírme de sus gracias y ocurrencias desde bien temprano en la mañana. Todos los días doy gracias a Dios por tenerlo a mi lado y por hacerme la vida feliz.
My husband is the main promoter of laughter in my house, because he has such a good sense of humor that the times we have argued in these almost 30 years, we end up laughing at ourselves. He tells me that he loves to make me laugh and listen to me, and anyone who knows me knows that my laughter is loud and contagious. Sometimes I feel sorry for the neighbors because I can start to laugh at their graces and witticisms very early in the morning. Every day I thank God for having him by my side and for making my life happy.
Les voy a contar, ahora, una anécdota de mi vida que me hizo reír hasta el dolor de barriga, ¡jajaja! Cuando era una veinteañera me disfracé, con mi tía favorita, de la mujer de dos cabezas. ¿Ya se imaginan por dónde va la historia? Bueno, a ella se le ocurrió -yo no sería capaz- de que nos metiéramos las dos en un vestido de mi abuela. De esos vestidos de jersey que estiran bastante... Nos metimos, yo saqué mi brazo izquierdo por la manga izquierda y ella sacó su brazo derecho por la manga derecha; y nuestras cabezas salieron por el cuello en "V" del fulano vestido, y así salimos a la solitaria calle a las 12 de la noche. La idea era llorar como La llorona, ¿saben la leyenda de la mujer que lloraba por un hijo? Bueno, eso queríamos hacer, pero no pudimos porque lo único que hacíamos era reírnos a carcajadas de vernos y de escuchar a mi abuela decir, tras la puerta, según, muy molesta: "estas porquerías si inventan" ¡jajajaja!
I am going to tell you, now, an anecdote from my life that made me laugh until I had a bellyache, hahaha! When I was in my twenties I dressed up, with my favorite aunt, as the two-headed woman. Can you imagine where the story goes? Well, she came up with the idea - I wouldn't be able to - of us both getting into one of my grandmother's dresses. One of those jersey dresses that stretch quite a bit.... We slipped in, I stuck my left arm out of the left sleeve and she stuck her right arm out of the right sleeve; and our heads popped out through the V-neck of the so-and-so dress, and so we went out into the lonely street at 12 o'clock at night. The idea was to cry like La llorona, you know the legend of the woman who cried for a child? Well, that's what we wanted to do, but we couldn't because all we did was laugh out loud at the sight of each other and to hear my grandmother say, behind the door, according to her, very annoyed: "this crap if they make it up" hahahaha!
Al día siguiente, los vecinos hablaban de haber visto y escuchado a una mujer de dos cabezas que se reía a lo lejos.
The next day, the neighbors talked about having seen and heard a two-headed woman laughing in the distance.
Creo que de ahí me quedó el gusto por disfrazarme. De aquel momento, por supuesto, no hay foto. ¿Se imaginan si hubieran existido los celulares? Pero, les dejó este último disfraz de febrero 2020, antes de la pandemia. No he vuelto a disfrazarme, ¡Ah, sí! de Bella durmiente porque me he pasado la mayoría de los días de la cuarentena en pijamas.
I think that's where I got the taste for dressing up. Of course, there is no photo of that moment, can you imagine if cell phones had existed? But, I leave you with this last costume from February 2020, before the pandemic. I have not dressed up again, oh yes, as Sleeping Beauty because I have spent most of the days of the quarantine in my pajamas.
)Y para que vean que si no he encontrado algún motivo para reír durante el día, me lo procuro, ¡jajaja! En esta fotografía estoy con mi Sofi adorada, muertas de la risa en este mueble masajeador. Mientras nosotras estábamos disfrutando de las cosquillas, mi esposo nos tomó esta foto que sirve, ahora, para recordarnos que, como dice mi querida @lisfabian, "reír es gratis" y que por más dificultades que podamos estar pasando, siempre podemos sonreír y cambiar nuestro estado de ánimo. Sonríamos a la vida por nuestro bienestar y nuestra salud mental, emocional y física.
And just so you can see that if I haven't found a reason to laugh during the day, I try, hahaha! In this picture I am with my beloved Sofi, laughing our heads off on this massaging furniture. While we were enjoying the tickling, my husband took this picture that serves, now, to remind us that, as my dear @lisfabian says, "laughing is free" and that no matter how hard we may be going through, we can always smile and change our mood. Let's smile at life for our well-being and our mental, emotional and physical health.

Muy gracioso, una "llorona" de dos cabezas que no asusta sino que se ríe a carcajadas. Me gustó tu post, me alegraste la noche. Sin duda, concuerdo contigo, reír es lo máximo y debemos hacerlo siempre. Mucha suerte en el concurso. Fue un placer leerte y saludarte.
