No vayan y causen mala reacción
Madre Tierra

Like a drop of water falling into the ocean
It is what I do for you my dear land
What I can and I have in these my hands
That to the folly they declare war
From the sweets I keep the wrapper
I order paper bags at the market
On the beach I avoid leaving the garbage
And in the field a no to smoke without quarter
Today I fill my tubs when the sky cries
When drying my clothes I prefer the sun
Saving dryer energy
And the clean water for my vase
To go to the park a few streets
My bikes go into action
The car and the motorcycle in the garage
So a little less pollution
I put me the batteries with the batteries
And I take them to the collection site
Once all it energy is spent
Don't go and cause bad reaction
If when I paint my house I have paint left over
Or some solvent, thinner or varsol
If I have excess oil when frying
I pack it and keep it well away from the sun
And then I take them to the right place
Where experts will already know what to do
And so little by little I will have gotten rid
Of one more pollutant to beat
The warming I want to see slowed
Less oil less combustion
Today I want to see CO2 diminished
And less coals inside the stove
Ecological awareness I hope we have
From today we practice a good recycling
That we lets plant plants and care the rivers
In fauna and flora punish pillage
Let's take good care our little house today
Our mother earth to which we will return
When the body dies, the skin does not resist
With her one only then we will be
Let's leave it well for those who come
With clean air and blue skies
With the clear water that keeps everyone
Clean and healthy like birch trees

What a sweet poem. It's nice to see a creative response like this.
When you say the 'experts know what to do' with recycling, the problem here is that a lot of it gets shipped to other countries or goes to landfill anyway. I'm not a big believer in recycling as it's just an excuse to consume and then pass your waste on for someone else to deal with. I think it's better to just not buy shit that needs to be recycled - if it's RE-USEABLE that's a different story. Refuse and reuse are my recycles.
And it's the same with the products we use - paints and chemicals etc. It's better to try to find a more natural alternative, though that can be hard sometimes, I know.
Thank you very much for your comment, you are very right, but you must also bear in mind that with the anxieties of modern life, there is also the facility to obtain time, and every day we see more products packed in plastic (soups, cakes, rice, cold drinks, etc.). Family food is being lost and we frequently go to fast food places, plates and plastic cups, etc., etc., etc. If there is no way to stop it at an industrial level, we can at least try it at home; after all, there are more families than factories.
And I agree, it is better to buy your drinks in glass bottles instead of plastic containers, but with this pandemic situation, the use of plastic containers has increased much more, so large factories avoid the sterilization of some and increase production of others.
It would be great not to buy products that need to be recycled, but when the options are shortened, then you have to try to recycle. Remember that recycling is giving the product another cycle, a few damaged discs; it could become a wall clock, to say something.
