Hace unos cuantos años atrás mi esposo tuvo un accidente donde casi pierde la pierna, ésta le quedó colgando pero gracias a Dios pudieron salvarsela, estuvo hospitalizado por más de 3 meses, yo estaba embarazada de mi hijo menor, tenía 8 meses de embarazo y por lo tanto no podía quedarme a cuidarlo por lo que lo hacía mi suegra, en la habitación que le tocó habían 2 personas enfermas también quienes eran cuidados por sus familiares.
A few years ago my husband had an accident where he almost lost his leg, it was left hanging but thank God they were able to save it, he was hospitalized for more than 3 months, I was pregnant with my youngest son, I was 8 months pregnant and therefore I could not stay to take care of him so my mother in law did it, in the room that was his turn there were 2 sick people who were also cared for by their relatives.
Los medicamentos que recetaban eran muy costosos para ese entonces y a pesar de que yo trabajaba no me alcanzaba ya que tenía a mi hijo mayor y estaba embarazada de mi segundo hijo por lo que tenía que costear los gastos de la casa, mi suegra tendría para ese entonces como 65 años si más no recuerdo, era un trabajo fuerte para una mujer de esa edad tener que lidiar con una persona en esa condición, donde no se podía levantar de la cama gracias a Dios hizo buenas amistades dentro de la habitación donde se ayudaron mutuamente, a veces se conseguían los medicamentos y a veces no, pero cuando no se conseguían los compañeros de habitación les regalaban los medicamentos que mi esposo necesitaba, más de una vez mi suegra se quedaba días corridos sin irse a su casa a descansar y estos enfermos compartían con ellas parte de su comida y algunas veces se levantaban de sus camas a ayudar a mi suegra a bañar a mi esposo, a pesar de que eran personas humildes tenían un corazón enorme, capaz de ayudar al que lo necesitara, allí mi suegra nunca vió egoísmo sino todo lo contrario la ayudaron demasiado con medicamentos y comida.
The medicines they prescribed were very expensive at that time and even though I was working it was not enough because I had my oldest son and I was pregnant with my second child so I had to pay for the expenses of the house, my mother-in-law would have been about 65 years old at that time if I remember correctly, it was a hard job for a woman of that age to have to deal with a person in that condition, where she could not get out of bed, thank God she made good friends in the room where they helped each other, sometimes they got the medicines and sometimes they didn't. But when they didn't, the roommates gave them the medicines my husband needed, More than once my mother-in-law stayed for days at a time without going home to rest and these sick people shared with them part of their food and sometimes they got up from their beds to help my mother-in-law to bathe my husband, even though they were humble people they had a huge heart, capable of helping those who needed it, there my mother-in-law never saw selfishness but on the contrary they helped her a lot with medicines and food.
Otro caso pasó hace 6 meses en mi sitio de trabajo, yo trabajaba en un supermercado público y recuerdo que llegó una señora con 3 niños y me preguntó con quien podía hablar ella para que la ayudaran con comida para darle de comer a sus niños, yo inmediatamente le busqué al supervisor que estaba de guardia en ese momento y éste al ver la condición de la señora le dijo que NO sin esperar a que ésta le dirigiera la palabra, cuando el supervisor regreso a su oficina, llamé a otra supervisora ésta vino habló con la señora e inmediatamente le buscó una bolsa de comida, le dió más de lo que yo creía, la señora salió de allí muy contenta, a veces creemos que las personas que se esconden detrás de una coraza son personas de mal corazón pero muchas veces nos equivocamos y son personas tan humildes que muchas veces nos sorprenden, ésta supervisora aparentaba ser una persona odiosa y mala pero cuando realmente nos damos la oportunidad de conocerlas bien resulta ser que nos equivocamos, la Biblia dice; Bienaventurado el que piensa en el pobre porque en el día malo lo librará Jehová y éstas personas que ayudan a otras de todo corazón tendrán su recompensa.
Another case happened 6 months ago in my work place, I was working in a public supermarket and I remember that a lady with 3 children arrived and asked me who she could talk to so they could help her with food to feed her children, I immediately looked for the supervisor who was on duty at that time and when he saw the condition of the lady he said NO without waiting for her to talk to him, when the supervisor went back to his office, I called another supervisor who came and talked to the lady and immediately gave her a bag of food, I called another supervisor, she came and talked to the lady and immediately looked for a bag of food, she gave her more than I thought, the lady left there very happy, sometimes we believe that people who hide behind a shield are bad hearted people but many times we are wrong and they are so humble that many times they surprise us, this supervisor appeared to be a hateful and bad person but when we really give us the opportunity to know them well it turns out that we are wrong, the Bible says; Blessed is he who thinks of the poor because in the evil day the Lord will deliver him and these people who help others wholeheartedly will have their reward.

Me alegra mucho que tu suegra pudo lidiar con su hijo y recibió la bondad de esas personas a su alrededor que la ayudaron a que el trabajo fuera menos pesado para ella. Que tengas una feliz noche. Le ha tocado vivir momentos difíciles pero también de ellos poder sacar cosas buenas, como lo que vivió con su esposo.
A veces pensamos que los gestos nobles no existen pero la verdad es que si están entre nosotros.

Es sorprendente ver como en las situaciones hospitalarias se consigue tanta humanidad, a pesar de que las personas están agobiadas con su propia carga aún sacan fuerzas para ayudar a quien lo necesite.
También es cierto eso que dices, las caras no siempre dicen lo que aparentan, puede parecer dura y hostil pero en el fondo ser muy bondadosa.
