Bubble game
Raulito, Laurita, Anita y Rosy corrían alegres por el parque bajo la mirada atenta de sus padres, quienes a una distancia prudente disfrutaban de una agradable conversación bajo la sombra de un inmenso árbol que mecía sus ramas al paso del viento. Los niños por supuesto iban y venían hacia donde se encontraban sus padres para solicitarle la compra de casi todo lo que veían. Pero Rosy no era tan exigente, solo pidió el juego de burbujitas que consistía en una linda figura semejante a un osito cuya tapita era la cabecita del animalito que, al destaparlo tenía unos círculos de plástico, y estaba lleno de un líquido jabonoso de un tierno color rosado. Al ver a otras niñas jugar con las burbujitas a Rosy le encantaron.
Raulito, Laurita, Anita and Rosy were happily running through the park under the watchful eyes of their parents, who at a safe distance were enjoying a pleasant conversation under the shade of a huge tree that was swaying its branches in the wind. The children of course came and went to where their parents were to ask her to buy almost everything they saw. But Rosy was not so demanding, she only asked for the bubble game, which consisted of a cute little bear-like figure whose lid was the little animal's head, which, when uncovered, had some plastic circles, and was filled with a soapy liquid of a tender pink color. Seeing other girls playing with the bubbles, Rosy loved them.
Lamentablemente en ese momento ya los adultos habían consumido el dinero que llevaron para la ocasión y no pudieron complacer a la niña. Ella muy conforme y obediente siguió jugando sin pensar de nuevo en el juego de las burbujitas. A poca distancia un hombre observaba la escena y pacientemente esperó la oportunidad para acercarse a Rosy. Cuando se dio cuenta que podía hacerlo fue y compró las burbujitas y luego llamó a la niña mostrándole el juguete. Ella inocentemente corrió hacia el señor sin que sus padres lo notaran. Éste la abrazó y se lo dio a la vez que besaba tiernamente sus mejillas. Entre una cosa y otra los padres seguían conversando sin imaginar lo que sucedía.
Unfortunately by this time the adults had already used up the money they had brought for the occasion and could not please the little girl. She obediently continued playing without thinking about the bubble game again. A short distance away a man was watching the scene and patiently waited for the opportunity to approach Rosy. When he realized he could do so he went and bought the little bubbles and then called out to the little girl showing her the toy. She innocently ran to the man without her parents noticing. He hugged her and gave it to her while tenderly kissing her cheeks. Between one thing and another, the parents continued talking without imagining what was going on.
Entre risas y agradable conversación la madre de Rosy comenzó a buscar con la mirada a los niños, logró verlos pero faltaba su hijita. Gritó a los niños preguntando por ella y ninguno sabía. Al parecer jugando entretenidos no se dieron cuenta que no estaba. Acto seguido ésta se levantó y recorrió el parque buscando a su nena con temor de que algo le hubiera sucedido. Preguntó a varias personas que allí se encontraban y aparentemente nadie la había visto. La mamá de Rosy entró en pánico al no poder encontrar a su pequeña. La buscó cerca de la laguna, también donde estaban los castillos inflables. Recordó que a Rosy le gustaban mucho los monitos así que corrió hasta donde se encontraban.
Between laughter and pleasant conversation, Rosy's mother began to look for the children with her eyes, she managed to see them but her little daughter was missing. She shouted to the children asking for her and none of them knew where she was. Apparently they were playing and did not realize that she was missing. Then she got up and walked around the park looking for her baby, afraid that something had happened to her. She asked several people who were there and apparently no one had seen her. Rosy's mother panicked when she could not find her little girl. She looked for her near the lagoon, also where the bouncy castles were. She remembered that Rosy really liked the little monkeys, so she ran to where they were.
Pero nada. La búsqueda era infructuosa. Sus amigos no se habían dado cuenta de lo que sucedía, y como el parque era muy grande ella no se pudo devolver a avisarles. Casi al borde de la desesperación miró hacia el puente que cruzaba la laguna y la vio en compañía de un señor. Estaban de espaldas y él le enseñaba a la niña cómo hacer las burbujitas. La madre corrió hacia ellos lo más rápido que pudo y ya cuando casi golpea al señor, éste se dio la vuelta y la miró. La mamá de Rosy se impresionó tanto: ¡era el tío Alberto! Tenía aproximadamente 4 años que no lo veía porque se había ido al extranjero. Él le contó que llegó a casa y supo que estaban en el parque así que decidió darle la sorpresa a su hermana.
But nothing. The search was fruitless. Her friends hadn't realized what was happening, and since the park was too big she couldn't go back to tell them. Almost on the verge of despair, she looked towards the bridge that crossed the lagoon and saw her in the company of a man. Their backs were turned and he was showing the girl how to blow bubbles. The mother ran towards them as fast as she could and when she almost hit the man, he turned around and looked at her. Rosy's mother was so impressed: it was Uncle Alberto! She hadn't seen him for about 4 years because he had gone abroad. He told her that he came home and knew they were in the park so he decided to surprise his sister.
¡ Menuda sorpresa! Ella sabía que su hermano se caracterizaba por sorprenderlos muy a menudo. Pero nunca imaginó que estuviera de regreso. Lo había extrañado tanto. Era su hermano menor, casi lo consideraba un hijo. Luego de reprocharle entre lágrimas y risas el susto que le había ocasionado lo abrazó. Después él tomó a Rosy entre sus brazos y se reunieron con el resto de la familia que también se alegró de verlo, pero no así de la broma tan pesada que les hizo. Todos contentos regresaron a casa y prepararon una gran variedad de alimentos para celebrar la llegada del tío Alberto. Rieron, disfrutaron, tomaron fotografías. En fin pasaron una velada muy agradable.
What a surprise! She knew that her brother was known for surprising them very often. But she never imagined he was back. She had missed him so much. He was her younger brother, she almost considered him a son. After reproaching him between tears and laughter for the fright he had caused her, she hugged him. Then he took Rosy in his arms and they joined the rest of the family, who were also happy to see him, but not so happy about the joke he had played on them. They all happily returned home and prepared a great variety of food to celebrate Uncle Alberto's arrival. They laughed, enjoyed themselves, took pictures. In short, they had a very pleasant evening.
Pero este episodio enseñó una lección a la madre de la niña y debe ser motivo de reflexión para todos los padres: debemos estar atentos en todo momento dónde están nuestros hijos sobre todo cuando nos encontramos en lugares públicos. Al salir con ellos y más aún a sitios tan concurridos, no debemos perderlos de vista. También el conversar con ellos frecuentemente sobre los peligros de estar con desconocidos los protegerá. Y si alguien se les acerca recalcarles que deben correr rápidamente hacia donde estén sus padres.
Puede que alguna vez esto nos haya sucedido, así que siempre será provechoso aprender de las experiencias.
But this episode taught a lesson to the girl's mother and should be food for thought for all parents: we must be attentive at all times to where our children are, especially when we are in public places. When going out with them and even more so in crowded places, we should not lose sight of them. Also, talking to them frequently about the dangers of being with strangers will protect them. And if someone approaches them, emphasize that they should run quickly to where their parents are.
This may have happened to us at some time, so it will always be helpful to learn from experiences.
Wow si que fue un tremendo susto el de la madre, quizás por distracción no presto atención a su pequeña hijita. Lo mejor de todo no era un desconocido que le hubiera hecho daño. De verdad que en momentos de entretenimiento quizás nos olvidamos por instantes de nuestros pequeños y en muchos casos los resultados son graves. Saludos buen relato para reflexionar. Éxitos 👋
