Parte 3: Al descubierto
Rita se encontraba bastante atareada con los preparativos para la llegada de sus hijas que justamente coincidía con su aniversario de bodas. Toda la familia se dirigió al aeropuerto para recibirlas. Fue una gran alegría verlas de nuevo. Venían acompañadas de una hermosa muchacha a quien por cariño apodaron Nina a la que presentaron como una querida amiga que conocieron en el extranjero. Rita le sonrió con cariño y ella le devolvió la sonrisa, pero al mirar a César Nina sintió un vuelco en el corazón. ¿Qué hacía su padre allí? ¿Por qué estaba con la madre de sus amigas? Qué angustia tan grande resultó ser para ella encontrarse de frente con él. Aparentemente no la reconoció, y si lo hizo, lo disimuló muy bien. Luego del recibimiento se fueron a la casa, y una vez que las muchachas estuvieron instaladas procedieron a celebrar tan feliz ocasión. Nina se sentía extraña y asustada. Tenía tantas preguntas sin respuesta. Habían transcurrido dos semanas desde que llegaron y César no había dado señales de saber quién era ella, y eso le proporcionó un poco de tranquilidad a Nina.
Rita was busy preparing for the arrival of her daughters, which coincided with their wedding anniversary.The whole family went to the airport to greet them.It was a great joy to see them again.They were accompanied by a beautiful girl whom they lovingly nicknamed Nina, whom they introduced as a dear friend they had met abroad.Rita smiled warmly at her and she smiled back, but when she looked at Cesar, Nina felt her heart turn over. How distressing it turned out to be for her to meet him face to face. Apparently he didn't recognize her, and if he did, he disguised it very well.After the greeting they went to the house, and once the girls were settled in they proceeded to celebrate such a happy occasion. Nina felt strange and frightened. She had so many unanswered questions. It had been two weeks since they had arrived and Cesar had shown no sign of knowing who she was, and that gave Nina some peace of mind.
Por motivos de trabajo Rita tenía que viajar a otra ciudad por una semana, pero como se sentía indispuesta le pidió a César que atendiera él ese asunto, así que Nina pensó que esa sería la oportunidad de contarle todo a Rita. Necesitaba armarse de valor para hacerlo, apenas conocía a Rita y no sabía cómo reaccionaría. ¿Y si no le creía? ¿Cómo quedaría ella después? ¿Qué pensarían sus queridas amigas? Nina tenía un torbellino de sentimientos pero no podía quedarse callada, en el poco tiempo que tenía casa de Rita se dio cuenta que era una extraordinaria mujer y que no merecía estar al lado de un hombre como su padre. Luego que César se fue Nina le dijo a Rita que necesitaba hablar algo muy importante con ella. Comenzó diciéndole que por favor la perdonara si lo que iba a contarle le causaba dolor. Acto seguido le confesó que era hija de César. Que tanto ella como su madre habían sufrido mucho tiempo violencia doméstica de parte de él. Motivado a eso su madre se vio obligada a enviarla fuera del país con unos familiares para protegerla de él porque la había amenazado con hacerle daño si lo denunciaban. Mientras su mamá hacía los trámites lamentablemente se enfermó y tuvo que desistir de la denuncia, razón por la cual se tuvo que ir al extranjero con Nina. Fueron años de intenso sufrimiento para ambas, y era algo que Nina quería borrar de su mente. Al terminar de hablar y con lágrimas en los ojos se abrazó de Rita quien no daba crédito a tan terrible confesión, pero muy dentro de sí sabía que la chica no estaba mintiendo. ¿Cómo pude caer en esta trampa? se preguntaba Rita.
For work reasons Rita had to travel to another city for a week, but as she felt indisposed she asked Cesar to take care of that matter, so Nina thought that would be the opportunity to tell Rita everything, she needed to get up the courage to do it, she hardly knew Rita and she didn't know how she would react, what if she didn't believe him, how would she look like afterwards, what would her dear friends think? Nina had a whirlwind of feelings but she could not keep quiet, in the short time she had at Rita's house she realized that she was an extraordinary woman and that she did not deserve to be next to a man like her father. After Cesar left Nina told Rita that she needed to talk to her about something very important. She began by telling him to please forgive her if what she was about to tell him caused her pain. She then confessed that she was Cesar's daughter. That both she and her mother had suffered domestic violence from him for a long time. Because of this, her mother was forced to send her out of the country with some relatives to protect her from him because he had threatened to harm her if they reported him. While her mother was doing the paperwork, unfortunately she got sick and had to drop the complaint, which is why she had to go abroad with Nina. Those were years of intense suffering for both of them, and it was something Nina wanted to erase from her mind. When she finished speaking and with tears in her eyes, she hugged Rita, who did not believe such a terrible confession, but deep inside she knew that the girl was not lying. How could I fall into this trap? Rita asked herself.
Dos días después las muchachas regresaron al extranjero, y como era época de vacaciones se llevaron a sus dos hermanitos. Eso le daría a Rita la oportunidad de enfrentar a César sin que los niños lo presenciaran. Así que cuando llegó de su viaje le contó lo que Nina le dijo y él lo negó rotundamente, hasta se atrevió a decir que no la conocía, pero Rita no le creyó así que al final él tuvo que reconocer que era verdad y con lágrimas en los ojos le pidió perdón asegurándole que la amaba y que nunca más volvería a cometer esos errores porque estaba sinceramente arrepentido. Rita que tenía un buen corazón decidió darle una oportunidad pero fue una de las peores decisiones de su vida. César ya no podía ocultar el tipo de persona que era realmente así que al poco tiempo comenzó a maltratar a Rita. Le revisaba el celular; ya no la dejaba visitar a sus padres ni permitía que ellos vinieran a su casa. Constantemente la insultaba, y Rita, que siempre había sido una mujer fuerte se sentía vulnerable, humillada. Lamentablemente había caído en un círculo de agresión y perdón. Todo esto lo aguantaba sin decirle nada a nadie. Sus gritos se ahogaban en el silencio.
Two days later the girls returned abroad, and since it was vacation time, they took their two little brothers with them. That would give Rita the opportunity to confront Cesar without the children witnessing it, so when she came back from her trip she told him what Nina had told her and he flatly denied it, he even dared to say that he did not know her, but Rita did not believe him so in the end he had to admit that it was true and with tears in his eyes he asked her forgiveness assuring her that he loved her and that he would never make those mistakes again because he was sincerely sorry. Rita who had a good heart decided to give him a chance but it was one of the worst decisions of her life. Cesar could no longer hide the kind of person he really was so soon after he began to mistreat Rita. He would check her cell phone; he would no longer let her visit her parents or allow them to come to his house. He constantly insulted her, and Rita, who had always been a strong woman, felt vulnerable, humiliated. Unfortunately, she had fallen into a cycle of aggression and forgiveness, and she endured all this without saying anything to anyone. Her screams were drowned out by the silence.
Un día Rita llegó de la oficina muy agotada y luego de ducharse se quedó dormida. En ese momento y sin ninguna consideración César entró a la habitación y se abalanzó sobre ella. Apenas le dio tiempo a Rita de despertar, y justo en ese instante él la golpeó fuertemente en el rostro recriminándole que su cansancio era debido a las constantes salidas con sus compañeros de trabajo, quienes, según él, eran sus amantes, acusación que por supuesto no tenía ningún fundamento. Ella aguantando el dolor sacó fuerzas de donde no tenía y logró correr hacia la calle para pedir ayuda. En ese momento pensó que hasta allí le permitiría su cruel comportamiento. César huyó de la casa como el hombre cobarde que era y ella más nunca supo de él. Aún así solicitó una orden de alejamiento tanto para ella como para sus hijos y gracias a su fortaleza, aunque no fue fácil, logró sacarlo definitivamente de su vida. Aunque esta experiencia le resultó sumamente dolorosa, Rita con gran humildad y realismo reconoció que en su afán por tener a alguien a su lado se apresuró y no se dió el tiempo para conocer más acerca de César y luego decidir si le permitiría entrar en su vida. Esta experiencia tan traumática le ha permitido a Rita y a sus hijas reunir en ocasiones a pequeños grupos de muchachas amigas para advertirles sobre los peligros que conlleva establecer una relación de pareja de manera apresurada.
One day Rita came home from the office very exhausted and after taking a shower she fell asleep. At that moment and without any consideration, César entered the room and pounced on her. He barely gave Rita time to wake up, and just at that moment he hit her hard in the face reproaching her that her tiredness was due to the constant outings with his coworkers, who, according to him, were his lovers, an accusation that of course had no basis. She was in pain and managed to find strength from where she had none and run to the street to ask for help. At that moment she thought that that was as far as she would allow his cruel behavior to go. Cesar fled the house like the cowardly man he was and she never heard from him again. Even so, she requested a restraining order for herself and her children, and thanks to her strength, although it was not easy, she managed to get him out of her life for good. Although this experience was extremely painful for her, Rita with great humility and realism recognized that in her eagerness to have someone by her side she rushed and did not give herself the time to learn more about Cesar and then decide whether she would allow him into her life. This traumatic experience has allowed Rita and her daughters to bring together small groups of girl friends on occasion to warn them about the dangers of rushing into a relationship.
Reflexión: Ser prudentes a la hora de tomar decisiones importantes en nuestra vida de seguro nos ahorrará muchos problemas.

Espero te encuentres muy bien, me alegra que compartas tu contenido en nuestra comunidad. Estuve leyendo tu relato y me cansé demasiado, es probable que sea por la extensión de los párrafos, te recomiendo crear párrafos más pequeños par darle darle chance al lector de procesar la información.
Que final tan trágico para un matrimonio que parecía iba a ser feliz. Existen personas que pretenden ser lo que no son, y engañar a alguien hasta el punto de casarse a punta de falsedades es de lo peor. Ojalá el karma se pueda ocupar de ese tipejo.
