Parte 3: Verdaderas intenciones
Juancho miró a la que en primera instancia él consideró una cliente, y luego miró a Micaela. Abrazándola le dijo quién era la dama que había llegado de manera inesperada. Después dirigiéndose a la mujer le preguntó qué deseaba, a lo cual ella le respondió que necesitaba hablar en privado con él. Juancho le acotó que cualquier conversación entre ellos sería frente a su esposa, algo que aparentemente no le gustó, así que de nuevo dando un taconazo con sus botas y sin decir una palabra se marchó. De repente se detuvo y girando la cabeza le gritó que lo vería en el pueblo, y se fue. Juancho y Micaela se abrazaron fuertemente. No les gustaba para nada aquella fría y arrogante mujer. Aún así no permitieron que ése desagradable momento les impidiera disfrutar de su domingo familiar. De manera que bajaron al río y pasaron un día muy alegre riendo, comiendo y deleitándose con las deliciosas aguas cristalinas del hermoso río. Después regresaron a casa muy contentos.
Juancho looked at what he first considered a client, and then looked at Micaela. Hugging her, he told her who was the lady who had arrived unexpectedly. Then turning to the woman he asked her what she wanted, to which she replied that she needed to speak privately with him. Juancho pointed out that any conversation between them would be in front of his wife, something she apparently did not like, so he again stamped his boots and without saying a word he left. Suddenly he stopped and turning his head shouted to her that he would see him in town, and left. Juancho and Micaela hugged each other tightly. They did not like that cold and arrogant woman at all. Still they did not let that unpleasant moment prevent them from enjoying their family Sunday. So they went down to the river and spent a very happy day laughing, eating and enjoying the delicious crystal clear waters of the beautiful river. Afterwards they returned home very happy.
Con el amanecer de un nuevo día comenzó la rutina semanal. Juancho desayunó y se disponía a poner en marcha su pequeña camioneta pero el motor no arrancaba. Después de varios intentos desistió y se fue caminando. Cuando llevaba parte del trayecto recorrido sintió tras de sí el galopar de un caballo. Volteó para ver de quién se trataba y era nada más y nada menos que la mujer que quería arrebatarle sus tierras. Le ofreció llevarlo hasta el pueblo pero él se negó. Visiblemente molesta la mujer tomó las riendas de su hermoso ejemplar equino y se fue. Juancho siguió su camino para encontrarse con los lugareños en la plaza con la finalidad de emprender las acciones para evitar los atropellos de tan indignante personaje. Al llegar estaban casi todos los pobladores. Juancho se unió a ellos y pasado unos minutos la mujer hizo acto de presencia. Comenzó a hablar a voz en cuello, ofreciendo los "supuestos beneficios" que obtendrían si permitían la compra de sus tierras y la posterior construcción del Parador Turístico.
With the dawn of a new day the weekly routine began. Juancho had breakfast and was about to start his small truck but the engine would not start. After several attempts he gave up and walked away. When he had gone part of the way he felt behind him the galloping of a horse. He turned to see who it was and it was none other than the woman who wanted to take his land. She offered him a ride to town but he refused. Visibly upset, the woman took the reins of her beautiful equine and left. Juancho continued on his way to meet with the villagers in the town square in order to take action to prevent the outrageous actions of such an outrageous character. When he arrived, almost all the villagers were there. Juancho joined them and after a few minutes the woman appeared. She began to speak loudly, offering the "supposed benefits" they would obtain if they allowed the purchase of their land and the subsequent construction of the Parador Turístico.
Nadie estuvo de acuerdo aunque las autoridades presionaban para que ellos cedieran. Sin embargo los habitantes del pueblo estaban decididos a impedirlo y de ser necesario recurrirían a la fuerza. Ese día no lograron ningún acuerdo. Todos extenuados pero firmes en sus ideas regresaron a sus hogares. Juancho también decidió volver a casa acompañado de algunos amigos que iban por la misma ruta. Luego de que cada uno quedara en su hogar Juancho continuó solo porque era el que vivía más retirado.
Ensimismado en sus pensamientos de repente escuchó el galopar de un caballo, precisamente era la mujer que lo había seguido muy sigilosamente. Se bajó del caballo y se dirigió hacia él. Con voz suave y melosa y sin tapujos de ningún tipo le expresó que desde el día que lo vio por primera vez quedó prendada de su hombría y personalidad. Le propuso mejorar su calidad de vida y también desistir del proyecto que la había llevado al pueblo, todo a cambio de dejar a su esposa e irse con ella.
No one agreed, although the authorities were pushing for them to give in. However, the villagers were determined to prevent it and if necessary they would resort to force. That day they did not reach any agreement. Everyone, exhausted but firm in their ideas, returned to their homes. Juancho also decided to return home accompanied by some friends who were on the same route. After each one was left at home Juancho continued alone because he was the one who lived farthest away.
Engrossed in his thoughts he suddenly heard the gallop of a horse, it was precisely the woman who had followed him very stealthily. She got off the horse and went towards him. With a soft and honeyed voice, and without any kind of cover, she told him that since the day she saw him for the first time, she had been captivated by his manhood and personality. She proposed to him to improve his quality of life and also to desist from the project that had taken her to the village, all in exchange for leaving his wife and going with her.
Antes de que Juancho se diera cuenta ella se le abalanzó y lo besó, pero él reaccionó de inmediato separándola con firmeza mientras ella rogaba su atención. La mujer dándose cuenta de que así no lograría nada de él decidió confesarle sus verdaderas intenciones. Le contó que lo había conocido mucho tiempo antes, en una ocasión en la que él viajó a la ciudad. Ella era prima de uno de los mejores amigos de Juancho quien fue precisamente el que se la presentó. Y como ella es caprichosa y obstinada se propuso conquistarlo sin importar qué. Así que aprovechó las influencias de su padre sobre las autoridades del pueblo y urdió ese plan para llegar hasta Juancho. Lo que no se imaginaba era que él estaba felizmente casado. Ante semejante confesión él sintió pena por ella, de hecho, ni siquiera recordaba conocerla. Pero eso sí, le dejó muy claro que amaba a su esposa y que sería incapaz de traicionarla. Totalmente derrotada no le quedó otra salida que abandonar el pueblo sumamente molesta y avergonzada.
Before Juancho knew it she pounced on him and kissed him, but he reacted immediately by pulling her away firmly as she begged for his attention. The woman, realizing that she would get nothing from him this way, decided to confess her true intentions to him. She told him that she had met him long before, on an occasion when he had traveled to the city. She was a cousin of one of Juancho's best friends who was precisely the one who introduced her to him. And as she is capricious and stubborn she set out to conquer him no matter what. So she took advantage of her father's influence over the town authorities and hatched this plan to get to Juancho. What she didn't realize was that he was happily married. Faced with such a confession he felt sorry for her, in fact, he didn't even remember knowing her. But he made it very clear that he loved his wife and would be incapable of betraying her. Totally defeated, she had no choice but to leave the village, extremely upset and ashamed.
Al darse cuenta de su decisión los lugareños estaban tan felices como contrariados ¿Qué sucedió? ¿Por qué se fue tan de repente? Independientemente de las razones por las que había tomado esa decisión, lo más importante era que Pueblo Cristal recuperó su paz y su tranquilidad. Volvió a ser el lugar pacifico que siempre fue. Por respeto a los sentimientos y a la honra de la dama en cuestión, Juancho nunca reveló cuáles fueron las verdaderas intenciones que la llevaron a aquel lugar ni el por qué se había marchado de forma tan intempestiva. Solo se lo confesó a su comprensiva y amada esposa Micaela, quien reconociendo la sinceridad que lo caracterizaba pudo percibir una vez más y sin dudar lo afortunada que era al tener un hombre con cualidades tan hermosas que la mantenían tan enamorada de su amado Juancho.
Upon realizing her decision, the villagers were as happy as they were upset. What happened? Why did she leave so suddenly? Regardless of the reasons for her decision, the most important thing was that Crystal Town regained its peace and tranquility. It was once again the peaceful place it had always been. Out of respect for the feelings and honor of the lady in question, Juancho never revealed what were the true intentions that led her to that place or why she had left in such an untimely manner. He only confessed it to his understanding and beloved wife Micaela, who, recognizing the sincerity that characterized him, was able to perceive once again and without hesitation how fortunate she was to have a man with such beautiful qualities that kept her so much in love with her beloved Juancho.
