Capítulo 3
Majo al terminar de leer la carta de Mauro fue consumida en un gran suspiro.
-ah que dulce sentimiento, saber que siente lo mismo que yo, me hace rebosar de alegría-Exclamó.
Horas mas tarde, Danny, el mayor de los hermanos Canterberry, rondaba el patio de la casa esperando el momento para por fin declarar el amor que sentía por doña Seidy de Aragon, en cuanto se quedó sola en la pileta, Danny la tomó por sorpresa y con palabras muy refinadas.
- No tema mi hermosa doña Seidy , solo quiero confesarle que desde que llegó a esta casa, mi corazon arde de amor por usted, sé que la sociedad y mis padres no verían con buenos ojos nuestro amor, por ser de distintas edades pero estoy enamorado de usted, estoy dispuesto a enfrentarme a mi padre por ello.
-Danny me halagas-respondió la bella mujer-eres todo un caballero , y confieso que tambien estoy enamorada de ti ese hermoso coqueteo me fue enamorando cada vez más, aún sabiendo que lo nuestro no era posible.
Ambos se funden en un abrazo y por primera vez, se besan, uno que contiene tantas emociones reprimidas por semanas, semanas donde aquella atracción crecía más y más día con día, era tanta aquella necesidad de ambos que aquel beso que empezó tímido por parte del castaño se convirtió en uno con fuerza, desespero y pasión contenida, doña Seidy reacciona y se separa.
-Danny debemos ir a prepararnos para la cena del señor alcalde recuerda que los Canterberry son invitados de honor-Dijo la mujer casi sin aliento, aquel beso había sido un arrebato de ambos pero no por eso era menos correspondido.
- Tienes razón-dijo el joven aún agitado por el beso apasionado y olvidándose del tono formal con el que se trataban, puesto que ya no era necesario-vamos, no podemos llegar tarde sería deshonroso para la familia.
Esa misma noche en casa del señor alcalde Don Diego Montenegro, la música sonaba, la servidumbre abastecía de vino y aperitivos a los invitados presentes, a la llegada de los Canterberry, Don Diego les dio una calida bienvenida en las puertas de su mansión.
-¡Oh! Mis queridos Canterberry, pasen,adelante, a esta su humilde morada, coman, beban, bailen.
Entran los Canterberry al salón principal de la casa de Don Diego, se encuentran con la sorpresa de que la nueva Marquesa de Manchester era Doña Mary Smith, de quién sólo se escuchaba rumores acerca de sus negocios y estilo de vida único. Pronto colocó sus ojos sobre el joven Danny y sus ojos claros, que la hicieron sentirse cautivada y soñadora.
El salón quedó enmudecido para Doña Mary, pues su atención estaba únicamente en el joven primogénito de los Canterberry, concentración que se rompe cuando Doña Seidy de Aragon toma del brazo a Danny y lo lleva a la mesa de las bebidas. Mientras ellos toman algo, Doña Mary se acerca a la joven Majo y le pregunta:
-Disculpe jovencita, me podrias decir ¿quién es la Señora que acompaña al joven de allí?.
Claro -respondió Majo - la señora es nuestra huésped, es Doña Seidy de Aragon y el joven es mi hermano Danny, porqué lo pregunta?.
Por simple curiosidad - respondio Doña Mary Smith.
Danny baila con Doña Seidy varias piezas y en un momento se acerca a él Doña Mary y le pide una pieza de baile, Danny acepta y casi al finalizar el baile ella le pide a Danny ir al balcón pues desea hablarle algo en privado.
Ambos salen al balcón, Doña Mary se acerca a Danny y sin mediar palabra lo besa, momento en el cuál Doña Seidy se asoma y los descubre. Ella muere de celos y le da una bofetada a Doña Mary, diciendo:
Es una mujer facil usted, debería darle verguenza, una mujer de su edad besando a un joven.
Más le deberia de dar a usted - respondió Doña Mary - que estamos en las mismas condiciones, usted una mujer viuda y con hijo seduciendo al joven hijo de los Canterberry, faltando así al respeto y la buena voluntad de la familia que la acogió.
Esto molestó a Doña Seidy quién impulsada por su caracter tan volatil empujó a Doña Mary quién estaba cerca del balcón y al irse hacia atrás se enreda con el vuelo de su bello vestido causando así una fuerte caída, quedando con varias fracturas y a la vista de los invitados que estaban en el patio de la casa.
Chapter 3
Majo finished reading Mauro's letter and was consumed in a big sigh.
-Ah what a sweet feeling, to know that he feels the same way I do, makes me burst with joy," she exclaimed.
Hours later, Danny, the eldest of the Canterberry brothers, hovered around the patio of the house waiting for the moment to finally declare the love he felt for Mrs. Seidy de Aragon, as soon as she was left alone in the pool, Danny took her by surprise and with very refined words.
- I know that the society and my parents would not see with good eyes our love, for being of different ages but I am in love with you, I am ready to face my father for it.
-Danny, you flatter me," answered the beautiful woman, "you are a gentleman, and I confess that I am also in love with you, that beautiful flirtation made me fall in love more and more, even though I knew that what was between us was not possible.
Both melt in an embrace and for the first time, they kiss, one that contains so many emotions repressed for weeks, weeks where that attraction grew more and more day by day, it was so much that need of both that that kiss that started shyly on the part of the brown became one with strength, desperation and contained passion, Mrs. Seidy reacts and separates.
-Danny, we must go to get ready for the mayor's dinner, remember that the Canterberry's are guests of honor," said the woman almost breathless, that kiss had been an outburst from both of them but not for that reason it was not less reciprocated.
- You are right," said the young man, still shaken by the passionate kiss and forgetting the formal tone with which they treated each other, since it was no longer necessary, "come on, we can not be late, it would be dishonorable for the family.
That same evening at the home of the mayor, Don Diego Montenegro, music was playing, the servants were supplying wine and appetizers to the guests present, and upon the arrival of the Canterberries, Don Diego gave them a warm welcome at the doors of his mansion.
-Oh, my dear Canterberry, come in, come in to this your humble abode, eat, drink, dance.
As the Canterberrys entered the main hall of Don Diego's house, they were surprised to find that the new Marchioness of Manchester was Dona Mary Smith, of whom they only heard rumors about her business dealings and unique lifestyle. She soon laid her eyes on young Danny and his clear eyes, which made her feel captivated and dreamy.
The room was silent for Dona Mary, as her attention was solely on the young Canterberry's first born, a concentration that is broken when Dona Seidy de Aragon takes Danny by the arm and leads him to the drinks table. While they are having a drink, Dona Mary approaches young Majo and asks her:
-Excuse me young lady, could you tell me who is the Lady that accompanies the young man over there.
Of course - answered Majo - the lady is our guest, she is Doña Seidy de Aragon and the young man is my brother Danny, why do you ask that?
Just out of curiosity - answered Doña Mary Smith.
Danny dances with Doña Seidy several pieces and in a moment Dona Mary approaches him and asks him for a dance piece, Danny accepts and almost at the end of the dance she asks Danny to go to the balcony because she wants to talk to him something in private.
Both go out to the balcony, Doña Mary approaches Danny and without saying a word she kisses him, moment in which Doña Seidy looks out and discovers them. She dies of jealousy and slaps Dona Mary, saying: "You are an easy woman, you should give her a slap:
You are an easy woman, you should be ashamed of yourself, a woman of your age kissing a young man.
You should be more ashamed of yourself - replied Dona Mary - we are in the same conditions, you a widowed woman with a child seducing the young son of the Canterberry family, thus disrespecting the respect and good will of the family that took her in.
This annoyed Mrs. Seidy who, driven by her volatile character, pushed Mrs. Mary who was near the balcony and when she went backwards she got tangled with the flight of her beautiful dress causing a strong fall, leaving her with several fractures and in sight of the guests who were in the courtyard of the house.

Creo que tienes mucho potencial, @kingdannys. Pero, te invitó a leer mucho más, a corregir tus post lo más que puedas y a tratar de ser cada día mejor. Hay muchos detalles que puedes corregir, tanto gramatical cómo estéticamente, pero estoy seguro que puedes mejorar muchísimo.
Gracias por la retroalimentación lo tendré en cuenta y mejorare hasta ahora que entre a hive me animé a publicar para que alguien más lo lea jeje espero pronto poder mejorar
