Repotting Satin Pothos | Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus

I have bought these satin pothos about 2 months ago in very tiny pots. They only have few leaves so so I let them settle for a while until they grow additional leaves.

look how tiny the leaves are and in a tiny 3 inches pot when I bought it

Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus is a trailing plant. Some claim it is philodendron while others say it's a pothos. Whatever it maybe, one can only appreciate its green velvety heart shaped leaves. It also has whiles speckles which make it look more appealing.

I place them in a spot where they can get enough indirect light and water them every 3 days.

they are placed near the glass window for them to get bright indirect light

I also installed humidifier for additional humidity which they loved.

they have their own humidifier

So after 2 months, they started growing new leaves, and it's time for me to repot them. I chose a pot size just 2 inches bigger than the first pot. This way, nutrients will be used to grow leaves rather than the roots.

I used coco peat as additional soil. I did maintain their original soil, as I'm not sure how well they can cope up with cocopeat.

Look at their roots, I can not say too healthy, but at least they already have enough roots to cover the old pot.

Since they are starting to trail, I will make them a trellis to support their vines.

I used an aluminum stick from my old laundry basket, coco husk, and yarn.

This is how they look now... I hope they thrive well in their new pot!
