Hello, Splinter-cells. I hope you are doing well.

After such a long time, I reached a deeper depth, one that seemed out of reach a month before. In this battle, I got about 13.5k RP Rewards, and this time too, I was using the indomitable Zyriel.

Battle Rules

There were 3 summoners to choose from- Water, Death, and Dragon. I chose Thaddius Brood, it's the stench of death that soaks the environment with displeasure and fear. However, that is all a lie because this was the only summoner that is Level 4.

The rules of the battle:-

  • Explosive Weaponry: All monsters have the blast ability.
  • Trample: This ability can be triggered multiple times per attack if the trampled monster is killed.

Pre-Battle Speculations

My Team

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns).
Melee Attackers: Undead Badger(Ability: Sneak).
Trained Attackers: Riftwing(Ability: Flying, Backfire, Scavenger).
Raged Attackers: Zyriel(Ability: Weapon Training, Life Leech, Divine Shield).
Magic Casters: Venari Bonesmith(Ability: Life Leech, Poison).

I only realized after I had set the team that I kept my Undead Badger just behind the tank, the only guy who was gonna get pummelled. That was a mistake on my part. Thanks to the Weapons Training ability of Zyriel, the Riftwing was a super soldier, attacking from a distance while having the ability to fly and cause a backfire effect if his attackers misses their mark.
I used to rent the Bonesmith until I decided to buy this card. This was very useful as its ability has a poison effect that continuously sucks in 2 HP. This ability proved to be a game changer in many battles where I won with ease. And thankfully, they didn't have monsters that had Immunity(ability).

Opposition Team

Summoner: Keyla Frendrul(Ability: Inceased Speed and Shield of all friendly monsters by 1)
Tank: Xennith Monk(No Ability).
Magic Casters: Oshannus(Ability: Void), Ice Pixie(Ability: Flying).
Non Attackers: Merdaali Guardian(Ability: Tank Heal).
Melee Attackers: Uraeus(Ability: Sneak), Pelacor Bandit(Ability: Sneak, Flying).

He had a good strategy, but my summoner's ability swept away all his hopes and dreams when he reduced the esteemed Oshanuus's attack by 1. But, since I have very less protection from the back and his melee attacks would easily start to eat away my monsters, making it all the way to my Tank.

Round 1

The summoner abilities were introduced and the battle was on. The first strike went to the swiftest, Oshannus, and the next one came from the Ice Pixie. That caused explosion damage to the Undead Badger and eliminated it right off the bat.

And finally, my team's turn came about. The first strike came from the trained attacker, Riftwing. This caused the shield of Shanuus to break.

The Xenith Monk went in the next turn and got the thorns while the Riftwing suffered a little explosive damage.

Screenshot (604).png

And finally, after all, his melee attackers had done their part, Zyriel went in for the kill shot... but he missed it.

Round 2

Screenshot (605).png

Oshanuus went in head first. The attack's ripples made huge contact with the Riftwing.

Screenshot (606).png

The Windeku turn came along. His attack connects and the Shield gets taken off of the Merdaali Guardian.

Screenshot (608).png

More turns went by and everyone's attacks connected, even his melee attackers, and my Bonesmith was in his last HP. Thankfully, Zyriel's attack came by at the very last moment, and this time it connected. Oshannus was cut down and the shield of the Ice Pixie broke.

Round 3

Screenshot (609).png

This time too the first attack came from his side. The Ice Pixie attacks the Windeku. Riftwing then suffers the explosive damage.

Screenshot (611).png

Riftwing's axe hits the Pixie and it connects. The explosion was felt by Uraeus and his shield decreases by 1. The Pelacor Bandit did his thing and finally eliminated my Venari Bonesmith. Zyriel suffered explosive damage.

Screenshot (612).png

Uraeus hits the Windeku and the Riftwing receives a damage of 1. But, this in turn takes off the shield off of him.

Screenshot (613).png

The Windeku came in for his share and he eliminated the Uraeus. The explosion took out the shield of the last remaining survivor of the opposition. And finally, Zyriel gets in with his attack and eliminates the Pelacor Bandit.

And that's how the battle ended. I was shocked when I saw that I had somehow won the battle even after keeping Badger in the second position, just behind the Windeku. Moreover, I never expected such huge RP rewards and about 0.3 Sps. This was an amazing battle and I hope to get more in the Gold III league.
