Splinterlands Battle | Scavenger.

Welcome to my blog where I'll share my winning battle with I've used two monsters with the "Scavenger" ability. And with this post; I'm going to join SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! Scavenger.

Scavenger of splinterlands is not a card. It's a special ability of some cards that help the card with this ability to gain 1 max health each time ANY monster dies. Suppose you have a monster with this ability and that monster will gain 1 max health each time any monster dies from your team or from your opponent team. I tried to check how many cards are there with this ability and I've found only two monsters with this ability although I'm not confirming that only two monsters of splinterlands have this ability but that's what I found in my research.

Gelatinous Cube COMMON Neutral Monster

Ant Miners COMMON Fire Monster

I've found this Gelatinous Cube from the neutral splinter with 6 mana cost and Ant Miners from the fire splinter with only 2 mana cost. When I was almost getting confused on which to use on the battlefield, then I thought "Why don't I use both". Then I've found a big mana battle that allowed me to use a total of 48 mana so I got the chance to use both of em with my Yodin Zaku summoning some good monsters.

A Brief Info About The Battle

The battles mana cap was 48 with "Target Practice & Close Range" rules where I've used the fire splinter where my Yodin Zaku summoned all the goodies that I have in the fire splinter along with the Gelatinous Cube and the Ant Miners and my opponent used the water splinter against me.

My Lineup.

I had Magnor in level 1, Fineas Rager in level 2, Efreet Elder in level 1, Ant Miners in level 1, Gelatinous Cuber in level 1 & Cornealusr in level 1.

And my opponent had his/her cards as The Kraken in level 1, Spirit Miner in level 1, Captain's Ghost in level 1, Prismatic Energy in level 1, Mantoid in level 1 & Water Elemental in level 1.

I've found the high mana battle so I didn't forget to use the mighty Yodin Zaku to summon the monsters and the result is satisfactory.

Let me talk about monsters that I used in this battle.

No 01: Magnor (Legendary Fire Monster)

There are a lot of good melee monsters in the fire splinter such as Cerberus with the "Heal" ability, Charlok Minotaur with big health and big melee, etc and I was happy with those melee monsters until... until I've seen the Magnor on the battlefield. This remainder of the Titans and Giants gets real helpful on the battlefield. It becomes like a magnet to the opponent monsters for having the "Taunt" ability for what, all enemy monsters target this monster if they're able to when other monsters of your team can easily focus on targeting the opponent monsters and this Magnor has big health and big melee attack so it's helpful in that way as well.

I used the Magnor in level 1 with 4 melee attacks, 3 speed & 13 health with "Taunt" ability and it needs 10 mana to battle.

No 02: FINEAS RAGE (RARE Fire Monster)

I used to like Giant Orc for "reach" ability till I've found out about Fineas Rage.
When you find a high mana clip battle and you decide to play with the fire splinter, Fineas Rage should be in the second position without further ado.

I used my Fineas Rage is in level 1 with 2 melee attacks, 5 speed & 8 health with "Reach" ability, and it needs 7 mana to battle.

No 03: Efreet Elder (RARE Fire Monster)

I was kinda looking for a cool card to review which I haven't used in any battle before then I've found this exploding monster who looks like lava. Then I bought him and sent him to the battlefield. Trust me, I'm so happy that every monster except him died before him cause otherwise, I might never know the real and extendable power that it gets from the "Last Stand" ability. I really enjoyed the finishing of the battle while this monster alone killed all the monsters of my opponent when all my other monsters died. He is really a one-man army.

I've used this monster in level 1 on the battlefield with 1 magic attack, 3 speed & 8 health with the "Last Stand" ability, and it needs 6 mana to join a battle.

No 04: Ant Miners (Common Fire Monster)

An ant in splinterlands? Hahaha, does this little fellow deserves to be in this scary place full of monsters? You might be thinking like this and if you're really thinking like this then you're in danger. Because this is not an ordinary ant. The famous Kobold Miner of splinterlands mistakenly allowed these ants to breach the surface of splinterlands and this ant's size is as bigger as a man's fist. Although a single ant miner can't be a threat to someone but these ants don't walk alone. They like teamwork and with the tiny tool and teamwork, they can be a big threat for sure. These tiny monsters have a special ability which is "Scavenger" and that allows these tiny creatures to gain 1 max health each time any monster dies. So despite having only 1 health in level 1, this monster can gain more health than the biggest health of any other monsters on the battlefield.

I used the Ant Miners is in level 1 with 1 melee attack & 1 speed, 1 health with the "Scavenger" ability, and it needs 2 mana.

No 05: Gelatinous Cube (Common Neutral Monster)

This is the monster that I never thought I'd use on the battlefield so I kept selling it every time it comes into my collection. I thought what a frozen monster from a frozen cube can do without any attack power. So I didn't wish to risk 6 mana on the battlefield but then when I've used it on the battlefield once along with some supportive monsters, I got to know that even this frozen monster can be a great asset on the battlefield. This monster can be helpful especially for its "Scavenger" ability which allows it to gain more health than the biggest health of any other monster on the battlefield.

I used this monster is in level 1 with 1 speed & 8 health with the "Scavenger" ability and It needs 6 mana to play.

No 06: CORNEALUS Legendary Neutral Monster)

To be honest, I sue this monster on the battlefield only to battle alongside monsters that are summoned by the Yodin Zaku as it already has big health and big attack power, and the given "Blast" ability from Yodin Zaku really makes it a fantastic monster to do battle with, I guess.

I used this monster is in level 1 with 2 ranged attacks, 3 speed & 12 health with the "Heal" ability and it needs 10 mana to play.

For the special buff of my special summoner Zaku, one of my ranged monsters got +1 ranged attack and all my monsters got +1 health and the blast ability each. And for the special buff of my opponent's summoner, all magic monsters of my opponent got +1 magic attack each.

Then... for being the most speed holder, my Fineas Rage started the battle with its first attack on The Kraken of my opponent and destroyed only a single shield to of 3 and the adjacent monster of my opponent which was the Spirit Miner, lost 1 health for the blast of my Fineas Rage. Then first Water Elemental and then The Kraken and then Spirit Miner and then Prismatic Energy of my opponent one after another attacked my Magnor and killed a total of 11 health out of 14.

Then after all the opponent monsters attacked my Magnor for having the "Taunt" ability, now all my monsters have found an opponent monster as well with the "Taunt" ability which is The Kraken. First my Efreet Elder then Cornealus and then Magnor one after another attacked The Kraken of my opponent and they managed to destroy the remaining shield and f4health of that Kraken and the adjacent monster Spirit Miner of my opponent got blasted for every time the Kraken got hit and from the last hit killed that Spirit Miner. And as a monster died, both my Ant Miners and Gelatinous Cube gained +1 health each for the "Scavenger" ability.

Then Mantoid and Captain's Ghost of my opponent one after another attacked my Magnor and at last, they killed the big monster. And my Ant Miners and Gelatinous Cube gained +1 health each again for the "Scavenger" ability.

The beginning of a new round. My Fineas Rage started this round as well with its first attack on The Kraken of my opponent and killed 2 health out of 9. And the adjacent opponent monster got blasted and lost 1 health as well. Then my opponent's Water Splinter attacked my Efreet Elder and Kraken attacked my Fineas Rage and my Fineas Rage lost 4 health and the Efreet Elder lost 2 health. Then my Efreet Elder attacked my opponent's Kraken and killed 1 health and killed 1 health of the adjacent opponent monster as well through blasting. And right after that, my Efreet Elder got a shot from Prismatic Energy of my opponent. Then my Cornealus attacked the Kraken of my opponent and killed 3 health of the Kraken and 2 health extra of the Captain's Ghost of my opponent. Then Mantoid and Captain's Ghost of my opponent one after another attacked and killed my Efreet Elder. And my Ant Miners and Gelatinous Cube gained +1 health each again for the "Scavenger" ability. Now my Ant Miner has 5 health from 1 and Gelatinous Cube has 12 health from 7.

Another new round and my Fineas Rage is still there to start the battle with its first attack and this time it attacked the same old Kraken and killed two of its health along with 1 health to the adjacent opponent monster through the blast. Then the Water Elemental of my opponent attacked and killed 2 health of my Gelatinous Cube and then the Kraken of my opponent attacked and killed 4 health of my opponent and the Prismatic Energy of my opponent attacked and killed 2 health of my Gelatinous Cube. Then my Cornealus attacked my opponent's Kraken and the Kraken lost all the health and for the blast, the adjacent monster also lost all the health and left the battlefield before the Kraken. Both my Ant Miner sand Gelatinous Cube gained +1 health each again and then the Kraken left the battlefield and once more my Ant Miners and Gelatinous Cube gained +1 health each again for the "Scavenger" ability.

My Fineas Rage attacked and killed 1 health of my opponent's Prismatic Energy and the blast killed 1 health of the Mantoid as well. Then the Water Elemental of my opponent attacked and killed 2 health of my Gelatinous Cube and then my opponent's Prismatic Energy attacked and killed my Fineas Rage and my Fineas Rage had to leave the battlefield after all. Both my Ant Miner and Gelatinous Cube gained +1 health each and my Ant Miners came forward to the first position with 7 health and 1 melee attack and my Cornealus then attacked and killed 1 health of my opponent's Mantoid and blasted 2 health of my opponent's Prismatic Energy and 1 health of my opponent's Water Elemental. And at the last moment of the current round, the Mantoid of my opponent attacked and killed 2 health of my Gelatinous Cube. And then my Ant Miners attacked the opponent's Prismatic Energy but missed the shot.

ezgif.com-gif-maker (7).gif

It's only my Ant Miners and Cornealus and my opponent had 3 monsters now who could attack. First, my opponent's Water Elemental healed back 2 health and then attacked and killed 2 health of my Gelatinous Cube then the Prismatic Energy attacked and killed 2 health of my Ant Miners and then my Cornealus attacked and killed the Mantoid of my opponent and the opponent's Mantoid had to leave the battlefield. With the attack of Cornalus not only the Mantoid left the battlefield, but also the Prismatic Energy lost 2 health and Water Elemental lost 1 health and I'm still confused about this trick. Then my Ant Miners and Gelatinous Cube gained +1 health each again for the "Scavenger" ability. Then my Ant Miners attacked and killed 1 health of my opponent's Prismatic Energy and blasted 1 health of the Water Elemental of my opponent.

ezgif.com-gif-maker (8).gif

The Water Elemental of my opponent gained 2 health and attacked and killed 2 health of my Gelatinous Cube. Then Prismatic Energy of my opponent attacked and killed 1 health of my Ant Miners. Then my Cornealus attacked and killed the Water Elemental of my opponent. Not only my Cornealous attacked and killed the Water Elemental of my opponent but also blasted and killed the Prismatic Energy of my opponent as well. My Ant Miners and Gelatinous Cube gained back +2 health each even after all the monsters of my opponent left the battlefield. At last, my Ant miners had 7 health and my Gelatinous Cube had 4 health.

The battle got finished in round 6 while my team still had three monsters alive includes both monsters with the "Scavenger" ability. All my monsters did great on the battlefield.

  • In my personal opinion... A monster with the "Scavenger" is a nice fit for the ruleset with some supportive monsters.

That's a hell of a post bro. Took me 15+ minutes to completely read it and nice work with the gif animations.
Keep it up.

And I had to spend more than 2-3 hours writing this post. A lot of time has been spent on making those GIFs as well.
Thanks for your curation, means a lot.

This is a great post. 😉

Loving the gifs. Might try that myself at some point.

Peace, G.
